good call on the crickets |
Whenever I try WILDing, it seems like nothing is happening or going to happen. I wake up about 4 hours after I go to sleep and stay awake for probably more than an hour and not go to sleep or feel those feelings that people say is right before the dream (Sleep paralysis?) |

A little bit, I can usually tell if I'm about to fall asleep soon or if it is going to take an hour. |
well i waited till the last possible second when i was about to drop off into sleep, then i started counting every other breath until i lost count (which sadly was only 5) but when i lost count i started visualizing myself runnning out my back door and around to the front of my house but try to feel every footfall and weight shift as you turn corners |
Arg, I totally forgot about that, I shouldve put "haven't had an LD yet" |
k, that was my first LD lol but it worked surprisingly well cause that was the first time i had tried that technique, sadly enough i didnt let SP go on long enough because i was only half lucid, i could sense my physical body as well as my dream body. |
how long have you been trying to LD. I think it might be because I've only been trying for 2 days... |
and just so you know, i didnt actually fall asleep, just try to get completely comfortable right off the bat and dont move, even if you feel a little buzz of uncomfortableness (im sure you know what im talking about cause im the same way) just dont move force yourself to stay still but dont tense up while doing it. you should go straight from being awake and thinking to basically feeling like you should open your eyes so you will and i was in my bed exactly like i had been but there was another one of my body in the bed next to me so i did an RC |
well i started keeping a dream journal for about 3 weeks a few months ago but lost interest, and ive just started keeping it again while trying to WILD cause im pretty sure i wont be able to realize im dreaming in the middle of one...my dreams just arent like that, so ive been trying for probably about a week or week and a half |
okay, that helps because I usually move alot, and i try my hardest not to but I really have to move, I guess I'll just try harder to not move... |

yea, just remember that you dont have to fall asleep, that was the biggest hurdle for me was i would try to get comfortable enough to fall asleep but all you have to do is keep your body still and once you get past SP and into a dream your body will naturally sleep without you even noticing the discomfort, plus the discomfort could also be another method for you to WILD, you could try just focusing slightly on the discomfort so it keeps your mind awake |
Wouldn't recommending going straight to WILD first. |

REALITY CHECK
I usually wake up like 2-3 times each night, so do I still need an alarm? |
yea but those require disrupting precious sleep which is difficult to come by with a very busy work schedule. and plus my dreams i am never first or even third person, it is as if im passively watching a movie so everything seems out of the ordinary jsut i see it as a movie, and i like the concept of WILD better, it makes more logical sense to me than realizing im dreaming, its not really as hard as everyone makes it out to be if you just dont think that its gonna be impossibly difficult, i figure it doesnt hurt to try |

REALITY CHECK
K, just looked up deild, |
i guess i havent really looked in DEILDS, im not trying to argue anything, i can see how WILDs would be more advanced, but it worked for me mainly cause it seems like a more logical method and thought process instead of having the whole dream and notice "o crap thats wierd, i must be dreaming" to going straight from laying there with your eyes closed to knowing your in a dream. we are all here to try to help not argue whether suggestions are too advanced for someone or not. |
Its is said to be the easiest method. |
REALITY CHECK
Okay, I'm understanding it alot more than before. |
