The reason why in most cases the 5 hours are necessary is because when you fall asleep your body does not immediately enter REM sleep (rapid eye movement) REM sleep is the state where you dream. but before you can enter rem you need regular sleep so the point of the 5 hours is to make it so you wake up when your body is entering REM so you can become lucid and you also will notice they say not to wake up too much or it will throw your body out of REM. |
