Having trouble with WILD - Weird body sensastions

I used to be heavily into lucid dreaming about 4 years ago then I fell out of it and moved onto other things. Never really quite 'made' it there.

Anyway, I have become re-obsessed and have recently been doing a dream journal again.

I've attempted WILD several times at night, during naps, and early morning..

I am able to focus on my breathing for about 10 minutes, then I pretend that I have my dream hands out in front of me and I repeat, 'I am dreaming.. I am dreaming.. I am..."

Eventually I will see the imagery.. but one thing has been holding me back.. I get this weird feeling in my legs and body.. It's almost like pins & needles.. A uncomfortable body tingling sensation.. I try to ignore the feeling but the more I ignore it, the more intense it becomes.. It doesn't feel like the vibrations.. It feels like my foot fell asleep and is waking up but its not my foot, its my whole lower body..

Eventually, I have to turn to my side or lay on my stomach to make it go away but I find that if I try to WILD on my side/or stomach, I quickly fall asleep..

      Need some help

I'm pretty sure that's just sleep paralysis. I haven't been able to WILD, but I have been able to go into SP and that sounds a lot like it.
Things done in LD dreams : Levitated other people, stopped cars, made people speak gibberish...

Hmm.. That's what I thought it was.

Anyone have advice on how to maintain your composure?

This sensation gets me all out of whack and I can't help but just to focus on it..

Yeah, that was all very normal SP sensations. People feel all kinds of things while WILDing. I often feel a rocking sensation.

You can get through the sensation by shifting your focus back to your counting or mantra. Each time you find you are thinking about the sensations, shift your focus back.

Another thing that I personally like to do when I have strong sensations from SP is to incorporate them into a dream incubation scenario. So, when I feel that rocking feeling I imagine that I'm lying in a rocking boat. For pins and needles you could pretend that you were frozen in carbonite (like Hans Solo in Star Wars) and are just waking up. Or try thinking up some other cool dream scenario you could imagine while you wait for SP to end.

You are SO close to WILD! Just hang in there!
