Hour long LD Flying induced (shared?)

well last night.. I had the longest clearest LD ever. The longest and clearest LD before this was probably my first few.

My first LD when I was younger I taught myself how to fly. I was really lame at first but ever since then EVERY LD and 99% of my dreams include flying.

It was only until a few weeks ago 90% of LDs I had were induced by fear, when something would be chasing me.. and I would fly away.
But I had an LD a few weeks ago where I wasn't in any danger and became aware. I remember just becoming aware and taking the lucidness as an option.

Lately all bad dreams have gone and I have been becoming lucid when I am flying .. which I do a lot. Or just getting lucid randomly like I become aware and think I can become lucid (which I obviously am already).

      Anyway

so last night I became lucid when I was flying about.. and It was REALLY clear... I remember thinking how long is this gonna last. Cos I have had some LDs where its all just a blur. It lasted.. and lasted for about an hour.

I was at some docking place there was a big ferry and some big buildings. I was on top of the building and this guy who is the best was there.. I heard him talking and we flew about together.. there was loads more obviously.
Just now on msn I was telling him.. and he said DID YOU HAVE A BOAT IN YOUR DREAM. ...

AND I DID.. wtf and he had a big ferry thing in his too!!!!

      MADNESS

I need to know how to remember them as clear as I see them. Because my memory and mind isn't capable of picturing perfect imagery.

I'm on average about 3 LDs a week now

I think I need to start doing the tasks of the month because when I get lucid I am always wondering what to do.

Though I did remember to touch the roof of my mouth like I read on here.. That was cool

      anyway

      random rant over
In very many cases, the visionary quality, the quality of the vision so to say, spills over, into the external world, so that the experiencer, when he opens his eyes, sees the outer world transfigured...

      aww lol

well when you get lucid you should use it to learn to fly if you wanna fly.

I used to just stand on flat ground near where I lived as a kid and practise.
I would get up in the air and practise flips and stuff.. I used to go at different speeds and hit the floor and stuff.
But the more you do it and more you get confident then you better you get.

I don't have to think about it now.. I just lift up and go.

so yeah.. don't jump off cliffs I think if I did that and I could fly.. I would probably fall to the bottom and wake up too.. because when you think of jumping off a cliff you automatically think of hitting the bottom and dying.
      :]

I used to have a LOT of those dreams as a kid where someone or something was chasing me and I had to get away.

I could rarely fly in those dreams though. The most I seemed to be able to do was execute very simple Matrix like moves like jumping to the top of a roof or power line, sliding along the ground at high speed or phasing through walls, doors or windows.

Of course, the thing that was chasing me was always faster, stronger and infinitely more skilled in terms of its abilities.

The interesting thing about your post is that like you, once I determined that I would no longer fear the unknown, it ceased to scare me.

I hadn't had a nightmare in years, as a matter of fact, the last one I remember was probably when I was 14 or so.

Of all the experiences that I've had while dreaming or out-of-body, none piques my interest more than flying though!

I had precious few of these experiences thus far and I dare say if I'd had one every night, I'd still cry foul and say it wasn't enough. LoL

Having had the pleasure of flying for a solid hour just makes me smile to myself in anticipation. LoL

I'm going to try a few of your flying exercises if I am lucky enough to get lucid in the coming days or weeks.

Thanks for the info and, for the record, it's good to see another fan of Saul Williams on the board.

      Great Quote!

      sweet

      Matrix fighting would be wicked..

yeah I think now the chasing thing is gone for good and lucid is coming much easier. I was grounded in my dream last night for a bit.. its the first lucid I recal being on foot since I taught myself how to fly. ahh well it was amazing.. the clarity of it.. it was perfect.

I get so excited about sleeping.. It's wrong haha

and Saul Williams is a lyrical genius saw him twice :]

Congrats! I've never had one last more than a couple of minutes myself.

What's the deal with touching the roof of your mouth? I must have missed that thread.

Thats how my lucid dreams would start too, flying to get away from someone or somthing, then I'd become lucid. All I focused on after that was flying, so I picked it up fairly quickly. Althogh I still often have problems controlling myself in flight. I think this website will greatly help me now, because I really knew nothing about lucid dreaming until a few days ago. Before joining here I was learning all on my own.
