Techniques to have Lucid dreams at will !

I want to be able to have lucid dreams at will.
And I think this is probably what most lucid dreamers want.
Total control, to have a Lucid dream any night you want.

So wich techniques makes this possible? And how long will they take to master? (if you stick to it and practise it whitout doubting)

WILD, VILD, MILD, WBTB, meditation, self-hypnosis?
Most of them can get you many dreams - but wich ones
can get you to the golden 100%-LD top of the mountain?

I would hope for everybody with abbillity to have lucid dreams at will (or almost at will) to post their tecniques here. That would be great of you, and please be as detailed as possible..

Last night I summoned my dream guide and asked her to make me lucid every night. I was in a movie theater and everyone asked me to kiss her after I made my request. I will find out if it worked. I am gonna try again later if it didn't work this time.

I tried that before but they all give me a hard time when I ask heh. I would say WILD is the best. If your good enough you should be able to lay down at any time, even if its just a nap and enter a dream. The problem is WILDs can be very hard. It really depends on the person though. I would suggest trying each one a few times each and seeing which one works the best.

WBTB is shown to give about 10x the chances of having an ld. For me, that's like a 100% chance of getting an ld.

From what I've read about lucid dreaming techniques, I would say that WBTB would be the most reliable method without having to master very difficult techniques. However, if you could master WILD, you'd probably get the best results with that.

WBTB is the best way to induce a lucid dream, but who wants to do that every morning! I do it when I can for sure, and if I did it every morning Id have a lucid dream 99% of the time. So now Im working on getting them more with DILD's, with decent success but nowhere near 99%.

WILD. With enough willpower and concentrationm, you can do them anytime you like, even if youve never heard of LD before . Why i believe this is because the very very! first time i tried to induce a OBE actually, but its the flip coin to LD, i got to the vibrations in about 30 mins. Beginners luck! since i have only got that far one time since.

try combining the techniques into one big routine, do WBTB, WILD, RC's, etc. Your mind will be so stuck on LDs your bound to have them. combining them all probably ups your chances by 20-30x. i use to be very strict doing all of those and i'd commonly have LDs 4-5 nights of the week, sometimes having around 3 in a night. whatever you do, don't give up on it... because that's when you fall in a rut and starting over sucks.

I agree with CCHawk finding the combo that works best for you is what its all about. Its worth remembering that all the time people here are refining techniques and giving advice, take what works for you and its only a matter of time before you can be lucid any time you want.

Currently im using MILD with Named Subconsious and RC's. Im going to start trying out WBTB soon though.

Once concern here, is that its possible to burn out your dreams from the stress and expectation.
Happens to me when I get too worked up over LD's

      combo

thanks for the answers, keep posting

I like the idea of finding a combo of techniques that works for you. anyone with tips for a good combo?
Im thinking that if you get a tip about a combo that works very well for antoher person, that might get you to believe in it more and therefore its easier to keep practising it. also you can start with it, and then experiment with time intervals etc. sort of cooking after a reciept and changing the spices..

I will for example give WILD combined with WBTB a shot for 2-3 months or so, and experiment with time, position in bed, activity during wake-period, wild-techniques...

I tried with getting up after six instead of five hours this morning, and had success at first atempt. several LDs...

I guess to summarize what everyone is saying:

      There is no silver bullet,
Increasing the number of lucid dreams take effort and time.
Use the technique(s) that works best for you.

Remember, Buddhist monk dedicate years of discipline to gain this ability.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...
