Thanks everyone, this really helped. I now don't seem to have any problems reaching SP in 20ish minutes, barring distractions (I have a roommate, talking in sleep is brutal on concentration). I have a couple questions about progressing further.

1.) Am I at SP? I'd like to verify that I'm actually at sleep paralysis, and that I wasn't just distracted by the transition back to being nearly awake. After the whole "tingling sensations" phase of SP, my mind can be incredibly clear, but I no longer have any real, "awareness" of my body. It's tough to describe, I'm still aware of my breathing, heartbeat, etc, but I've never been bothered by an itch or notice feeling in my limbs at this point, and outside noise can be heard, but isn't a distraction.

2.) If I've reached the point of SP, what state of mind should I be going for to slip into a dream? Past posts have already said that I shouldn't be trying to have too clear of a mind, but that I can't focus too little or I'll just sleep. My problem now is that most guides seem to be based on reaching SP, and seem to just say you'll drift into a dream at that point, which hasn't been the case for me.

Note- I've only attempted Wild before I go to sleep at night. Could you let me know if this is a large part of my problem?
