My style of meditation is very simple.
1) I sit comfortably in any desired spot (chair or couch ect..)
2) I then take a few deep breaths to get more oxygen which helps me relax even more.
3) After I am fully relaxed, I focus my awareness on my breathing, meaning, your attention should now be completely on your breathing and nowhere else but your breathing!.
4)Usually at this point thoughts start to come and go. Do not interact with your thoughts but instead, observe these thoughts. Your duty in this meditation is to keep your attention (awareness) on your breathing while still observing carefully the thoughts that come by.
Benefits: Meditation serves a person in many ways and can serve people in many ways. This sort of meditation increases your level of awareness by a lot. People who practice meditation have more chances at becoming Lucid within a dream very easily. How is that possible? The answer is simple. Just meditate and learn to control your awareness:meditate:
Hint: By constantly focusing your awareness on your breathing, you are increasing your level of awareness in your life =)
