The dream induced lucid dream is where a person already in the dream state realises that he is in fact in a dream by the means of recognizing that there was something dreamlike in the situation which may lead to a state test to check to see if one is in fact dreaming or a spontaneous realization of the fact. But there is a fact that dosent seem to be widley recognized which is that the realization that one is dreaming does not necessarily mean that this person has more awareness then he would if he didnt know he was dreaming and it is very possible that one may have awareness and not know that one is dreaming which for anyone who has had a good number of lucid dreams knows very well. Let us look at the two primary techniques used for the purpose of inducing a DILD which is state testing and the intention technique (where one recognizes all things as the substance of dreams) the state test is used to bring the realization that one is dreaming which is usualy but not always followed by awareness and the intintion technique which works on the idea of cultivating awareness during the day so that it might carry over into the dream world so that we can have the realization that we are dreaming much easier but to any manner one is not much use without the other because without both the realization that one is dreaming (which leads to the knowledge of the possibilities) and awareness which gives us the abilty to control and understand the situation we dont fufill the full potential of the experience. So with this in mind i have come up with a system that uses the basic principles of the two primary techniques to come up with one that produceses both understanding and awarness. |
