I currently can't WILD so I wanna take a short break from trying.
So, I heard about this cell phone method. Where you set your phone to vibrate and put it in your pocket. Does this work? Are there any similar techniques?

What do you mean just put it on vibrate because it only last like 30 seconds or so. I am confused =S
It's just like WILD but the vibration wakes you up.
That confuses me. Can you explain?
Well, when you WILD, you wake up with an alarm right?
With this it's the vibration from the Cell Phone that slowly eases you awake.
I think that's how it works. Don't quote me on it, though.
Ohhhhhh you mean WBTB.
No, I think you're misinterpreting what I'm saying.
You wake via phone vibrations, lay completely still and WILD away.
Not WBTB, WILD.
I'm not even sure if what I'm saying is correct..
Oh shit, I hadn't thought of it like that! Thanks man!
Definately sounds like a WBTB...i might try this one, since using an alarm clock disrupts my roomate...
There is a technique where you set the phone to vibrate 5-6 hours after you go to sleep, and for some deep sleepers, the vibrations transfer into the dream world instead of waking you up.
Sounds like a good idea, I should try that ^^ I get that alot that real life stuff like sounds get into my dreams
eh, it awoke me easier but i still got frustrated because I couldn't find that annoying vibrating noise.
But I set it again for 1-2 more hours and I got a WILD this morning ^_^_^
I tried it a couple times, but either the vibration just woke me up, or I didn't feel it at all. The best for me is to hold it in my hand in a position that I don't have to use any muscles to keep it there, then fall asleep. Still no lucids from it yet though. It might be good for a DEILD attempt, if the vibrate ringer is short enough, and it's not so short that it doesn't wake you up at all.
Here's my potential technique:
1. Stay up slightly later than normal and take some melatonin (skip if your naturallly a heavy sleeper.)
2. Set your phone to vibrate four and a half hours after you fall asleep.
3. Do some affirmations or other mental activities to associate the vibrations of the phone with reality checks and lucidity.
4. Go to sleep.
5. If I'm right, the phone should go off, not wake you and become part of the dream, and make you do a reality check.
6. Enjoy! :D
I'll post my results tomorrow.
You may also want to set the phone to vibrate during the day, and then reality check when it goes off. :)
Good idea! :)
Well, it didn't work, but I think it has some potential!
