My Guide to the mastering of visualisation and tactile sensations to get past SP or WILD/DEILD

Ok I wrote this guide for a few of my friends on msn, I have been actually laying down lately a few times a day and literaly trying to day dream for weeks, because I always fermly beleived that this power of imagenation would grow after being worked on so frequently and I was right, and I can wild alot now, and deilds come very easy, I almost deild out of habbit because I'm so used to it, like tactile sleep walking

      My Tactile/Visual WILD/DEILD Tutorial
You can practice for 30 min to an hour each day, I usualy try to do an hour in two 30 min parts, but if you use the spoon and position illsuion method on the go it will help you alot, and you won't need to practice as much. Also feel free to listen to music during practice,
anything that puts your mind into a motivated position, slower music can stabilize your focus more, faster music can make your will power greater.
Keep in mind that well your doing it your goal is to invent these sensations out of your head, there not going to be very pretty at first so you just have to work with what you have. If you concintrate on trying to make something appear you should be fine, if it just does not apear no matter what you do,
then just take it slowly and try to feel/see the object in front of you, just slowly work it into existence by imagening it there.
don't, and I repeat, never just cringe your forehead in gient leaps of will power, it will only make your focus more uneven, theres a reason why people enphesise balance now that I think about it.

To start with just lay on your back, it's easiest because it has the least things touching your body.
I'll try to list these in order of difficulty. (remember that these are just suggestions, try what is easiest for you!)

      Visual exercises:

      1. Vent: Your imagening your eyes as a moving camera moving through the inside of a cube shaped vent, as far ahead as you can see in a never ending vent/ or wall, and it's all the same color.(try turning some corners once you get better)

      2. Road in the sky: Theres a never ending road in the sky (whatever thickness you can think of) and cloads are all around it (try puting turns in the road if you can)

      3. Plains of grass: Imagen moving acrossed a wide open plain of grass (see animals and trees if you can)

      4. Long hallway: imagen your eye camera is moving down a long decorated hallway try and imagen what might be on the ground, and the walls, and see the doors if you can (change the amount of objects to increase and descrease difficulty)

      5. Your School/House/Work Place: Whatever is easy to recall, just try to work from the memory and let the picture come with it

(really it works good with alot of long narrow things at first, then you can start working from memory, and then try to start imaegning new places, or make the previous vivider to show yourself you have improved)

      Tactile exercises:

      1. Sand Paper Bar: Just imagen a horizontal bar of steel, with really gritty sand paper rapped around it, then rap your hands around it, feeling the thickness and physical nature of the bar, for a more vivid sensation switch to feeling the bar in between your finger tips or right before the end of your fingers, for some reason the feeling is stronger there, like it is in real life where the most nerves are. You can even feel the force of gravity pulling your body down well hanging from it.

      2. Tight Rope: imagen standing on a thin rope under your bare feet and the pressure it makes on the ball of your feet, also if you want do the sand paper bar at the same time

      3. Swing Set: Imagen your sitting on a swing with your hands around the chains, try to get a momentum going, and feel the wind flowing around you.

      4. Stomach position: imagen laying on your stomach make sure the front of your body feels all the textures on the bed/floor

      5. Sled: similer to the stomach position, except imagen your on a sled, with your feet against the back edge and your hands rapped around the front edges, you can start imagening going down hill, try to start to see the hill and all the snow coming down and covering the ground.

      6. Walking: Take one step at a time, at first kind of imagen the top of your body is kind of floating up right, and take one step forward alternating feet, it may seem slow at first, like moon walking. For a vivider sensation try to make the floor beneith your feet very bumpy

      7. Bike: Imagen your hands around the handles of a bike, and your feet are pedaling, you can stand or sit, try to go down a straight path at first and see it.

These are just a few of the main ones I use, try experimenting, get down on your knees and reach out for stuff, when you get used to it start visualising well your imagening sensations.

The Spoon method: I call it the spoon method because I started imagening a spoon in my hands well in class or on the bus well doing waiting for something, whatever, anyway if your sitting at your seat in class and your done with your work try to imagen a small object such as a spoon, or even the sand paper bar and just try and feel them and imagen their touch. Also try to make yourself beleive your in a diffrent position, like if your sitting down, feel yourself laying down on your bed for a moment.
If you do the method enough then you won't have to take time away to sit down in bed and do it.

Attempting it as a deild: Go to bed early, get a good nights sleep, apon waking up stay still, you can tell just how much you are in the dream or awake by the feeling of covers around you and the sheets, or the sound if you have a fan on (doesn't matter if you do, just don't let it distract you from doing the tactile senses) Give the tactile sensations a try,
do whatever you want if you feel confident imagen walking and visualise the place you want to be, if it just feels weak and tiresome to do it,
just stay still for a moment, let everything go, even your mind and come back a few moments later and imagen tactile, keep doing it till you feel as if your able to do the tactile fairly effortlessly, soon you'll be in the dream, when you feel yourself walking around go ahead and visualise the palce you want to be at, it should come into light.

If you want to wild, I imagen it's more of staying very still and using the illusion of position alot, to totaly take your mind away from the body and put you into a trance on the mental body.
To build up your ability to do a deild, just work at reminding yourself apon waking up to stay still, don't worry if you first fail, just remind yourself anyway. It doesn't even matter if your down stairs eating breakfast, just remind yourself to stay still, because the thought will keep hitting you more often earlier, and earlier.

Remember the better you get at this stuff the easier it will seem, and the more confident you will be of getting even better so don't think of it as taking weeks to get good, you will probably notice results within days.

I apologize if the guide wasn't set up very well, I'll try to improve it and I might revise it, sorry if my spelling is a bit off too.

you know, what I like about your post? There are many ways how to enter your technique, still the result is the same. This is much closer to ultimate technique, than many other techniques. Maybe this post should be placed at introduction of nearly every technique I readed here, becouse your technique starts where every technique should start. At preparation phase. Good work.

Yes there are many ways to enter it, though I should say that those are just exercises listed, watching yourself fly through a vent might not get you to a lucid dream as fast as say riding a bicycle (my personal way of getting in a dream) and the more stuff you have going on I think the better.

I really do think it's a thing that would improve every wild method, I still don't see people experimenting with this day dreaming like stuff, I mean when we look at the way we day dream and the way we normaly dream what kind of connection do you make,

I mean if day dreaming can be improved and dreaming is an improved version of day dreaming, what does that tell you

We could and should discuss these exercises in more depth to get better results and to find out better ways how to prepare us to enter lucid dreams. I plan to create one thread just about this.
