the clock RC is failproof!

OMG you don't know what just happened! I slept in my afternoon, and had now been dreaming for quite some time. I was now, for some reason I don't recall, leaving home and getting in the car. Then I thought to myself: "I should do a RC, though I'm pretty sure I'm awake.. just to make it a habit..".. It was then that I decided to try a different RC from the one I'm used to: the clock RC. I always have my watch on my left wrist, so I just raised my arm and looked at it. It showed 45:99, to which I didn't realise it was wrong. Then I looked somewhere else and looked back - and the clock now showed an upside-down version of 109:00'475. It was maybe the clearest RC I've ever done in my life! Really, guys, you should try it. Works great, I promise.

I took my lucid to walk around and get amazed at how vivid things were. I had the chance of hugging Clairity and doing so much else before it ended.. was a great lucid, as always ^^

So, what are your experiences with the clock RC? Do you use it?

Really, that one works less than half the time for me.

Good job, Kromoh. I had almost the same experience (I was in bed and my digital clock made no sense) but I blamed clock-failure. :doh: I wasn't really doing an RC, just trying to see if it was time to get up, but I should have noticed.

That's awesome that you found a RC that works so well for you. :boogie: That's like me and the nose RC. Unfortunately, people are so different that RCs are pretty much never fail-proof for everyone across the board. :(

The only one that really works for me is the memory reality check.

I get real times that stay put too often to rely on the clock. I do the right thumb through left palm reality check mainly, but I find more and more lately that once I believe I'm lucid, I don't need a reality check as I'm seeing more easily now that my dreams have a unique quality to them that I can recognize. Still, if I'm going to do something that would be foolish in reality, I tend to do a reality check first, just to be certain.

I've seen a clock time change in a couple of dreams, but for the most part, I don't look at a clock or watch in my dreams. I would hope, though, that if I did see one now, that I would at least remember to think about the possibility that I'm dreaming.

For me, I used to use that RC a lot, but one time I tried it in a dream, and the numbers were the same both times I looked at it, and the time was 12:45. I have since abandoned that reality check, and I now only use the hand and nose RCs.

I once looked at my watch (in a dream of course) and the numbers were changing in front of my eyes. I was like WTF I'm either dreaming or high =]

The one time I can remember that I actually did that thing where I look at a clock twice it was the same both time. I determined that I wasn't dreaming even though it was an impossible time. It was like 16:99 or something.

If U've seen Lucidipedia....it shows a hybrid of the clock/watch RC. It can be used for both digital and analog. What U do is U look away but U think it's a different time and look back expecting to see the time U think of. If it is Ur dreaming..:).

My first three lucids came from clock/number RC's. They usually work pretty good, but I usually do three RC's anyways. A clock/number if it's around, then a nose, then a hand. Just for clarity and vividness.
