whats the craziest technique you have gotten to work?

i dont know if this thread will die or not, but whatever. We'll give it a shot

so yeah there are a lot of crazy techniques out there. SILD, UILD, TILD, PILD, RILD, etc etc. Which it the craziest technique you have done, that has actually worked? I want to hear the techniques that you have gotten to work, but just ones you have tried or heard of would be fine too.

mine would have to be a mixture of PILD (punishment induced lucid dream), and RILD ( Reward induced lucid dream) I got it to work twice. I dont remember what my punishment was if i failed, but the reward was a mountain dew

It was suprisingly effective. I only tried it twice, but both times i was expecting to fail and have to do the punishment in the morning, but instead it succeeded. Crazy huh?

so yeah once again, what are the crazy techniques you have gotten to work, or tried, or heard of?

Seriously, I have done a TILD before (Thirst Induced Lucid Dream)

It is when you are really thirsty at night. You try to imagine yourself drinking.
It is about 99% reliable, but it isn't worth it.

I hadn't had a LD in a couple of weeks so out of desperation I listened repeatedly to a song about lucid dreaming before I went to bed.

I had a DILD that night.
I guess that's not really that crazy but it was something new for me.

There are two that have actually worked for me :

      The "flashlight" technique: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=9643

      The "talking watch" technique: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=9782

i almost did a TILD on accident before. I agree that it wouldnt be worth it though. I was soooo thirsty when i woke up. And the majority of the dream was of me drinking water and not being able to quench my thirst That feeling was almost as bad as a nightmare.

Those techniques are awesome clarity! I dont know if they would work for me though, because technology seems to work for me in dreams.

i did the one where you visualise your last dream, but instead of my last dream, i remember the dream being a car drives down the road and an uncooked chicken flies up in the air....

FILD. I was skeptical. "How could moving your fingers enter you into a dream?"

Got a 404 on that talking watch one, but if it's anything like my vibrating watch, that's not crazy, I like it.

      I don't try weird ones.

Someone try KOILD. Have someone knock you out, super accelerated WILD!

If you click on freefire's quoted links.. they don't work. If you click on my original post links they do. Here is the talking watch post: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=9782

      Silent Lucidity

I listenedd to it repeatedly before bed. The one line ... There's a place I like to hide, a doorway that I run to in the night... stuck in my mind and that night I had a DILD about being in a maze and searching for a door. I found a door on the ceiling and realized I was dreaming.

      *edit to add lyrics*

      Queensryche - Silent Lucidity Lyrics

      Hush now, don't you cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
      You're lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
      Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over... or has it just begun?

      There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
      Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize it and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
      Commanding in another world
      Suddenly you hear and see
      This magic new dimension

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help you see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you, in Silent Lucidity

      [spoken during solo]
      (Visualize your dream)
(Record it in the present tense)
(Put it into a permanent form)
(If you persist in your efforts)
      (You can achieve dream control)
      (Dream control)
      (How's that then, better?)
      (Hug me)

If you open your mind for me
You won't rely on open eyes to see
      The walls you built within
Come tumbling down, and a new world will begin
Living twice at once you learn
You're safe from the pain in the dream domain
A soul set free to fly
A round trip journey in your head
Master of illusion, can you realize
Your dream's alive, you can be the guide but...

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help to see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you....

waking up... closing my eye's, then a second later wanting to look at the time before i went to sleep.. turned over to look and it said.. "bonjour my fish"... since i wasnt deep into the dream i had enough awareness to realise that i was dreaming... wooo!! i had a lucid dream within 5 second's.... and now that i kno there is a technique called DEILD... this doesnt work aneymore, because in order to do it you have to keep all thought's out your mind... and now when i wake up during the night.. DEILD enters my mind repetativly.. so it doesnt work... shame

I actually just lay there as still as possible on my back, and try to focus on the feeling on the left side of my face. As I drift further off into sleep, it's more likely that I can feel and hear the breathing of my spirit/dream guide.

When he pops up in dreams, I usually don't know that I've even gotten tired enough to fall asleep, but he almost always appears by having his face pressed against my left cheek.

So as soon as I feel something "creeping up" near me, I know straight away that it's him. It's hard to not want to roll over and start talking to him. =[ He's cuddly.

I screw my lucid dreams up like that all the time. I try and move too soon, and I wake myself up. Blarg.

It's not all that crazy, but it's effective.

TILD is so reliable? I thought it didn't work at all, not even thinking about reliability.
