I'm not sure if this is a WBTB or WILD problem, but either way:
I've never had a lucid dream, but I'm still trying. One technique I've tried is waking up in the middle of the night, about 4-6 hours after I fell asleep. I'm pretty sure later is better for me, because I woke up from a dream last night I set my alarm. Anyway, I'm having trouble getting to the right alertness. Even if I walk around for a while, up to 20 minutes, I still fall asleep. I decided to count down from 100. 100...99....98....97...96..... then I'm asleep. If I stay up too long or wash my face with cold or luke-warm water, then I'm too awake and have trouble going to sleep. Any suggestions?
