      Here is my WILD method

I just thought I would post this to see if anyone else does something similar.

This is the way I can reliably get into a WILD. I have been doing it for years, even before I knew what the word 'lucid' even meant.

It isn't easy but here it is:

      1. Clearly state in my head that a WILD is my objective.

      2. Then relax for a few seconds and start:

      3. With my eyes shut I stare into the blacknes and try to imagine different colours. Don't try to find them in the blackness, just keep imagining them and they will get clearer and clearer.

      4. Then, once the colours are quite strong, imagine a scene (e.g. a snowy forest). Keep imagining this scene, first from arial view and then from the view of someone in the scene. Change the scene every now and again.

      5. From now on DO NOT CHANGE SCENES! Stick with the one which is clearest. Now imagine some movement in the scenes, (e.g. a horse and carriage).

      6. Now imagine some people. Just doing something in the background. If you are not in first-person-view already slowly move into it now.

      7. Now, just watch the scene in your mind. The image should get clearer and clearer the more detail you think about.

      8. Now have a good look around the scene, move about and look at everything.

      9. Now the image should be really strong. If it is not then keep imagining this scene. Do not lose it and it will only be able to get stronger. This is by far the longest stage. So long as you keep this level of detail, you will not fail.

      10. If you kept repeating step 9. you should now be lucid.

Do you do this when going to sleep at night or in junction with a WBTB? How sleepy are you generally when going through these stages? I've been trying to find a WILD method and this sounds similar to the one I have gotten the closest with.

This sounds pretty simple. I had about 10 LD's but not one was a WILD! I would love to experience it. Thanks for the info & can you do it right when you go to bed??

      About tiredness:

If you are tired then this will work much better. If you are not tired then you probably won't fall asleep, which defeats the point. Only do this when you are tired.

      The best time:

If you ever wake up in the night/early morning then this method will be perfect, and will work fast. It is a bit like a normal WILD except you can choose your scene.

My alarm clock is set 45 minutes too early, this is so that I can have a WILD most mornings using this method.

(BTW: I'd reccomend a really gentle alarm clock)
