with first entirely successful wild, i did not feel any vibrations, or anything else, i only felt myself rollover, then fall off my bed, then i couldn't feel my body, instead i felt my dream body which was in a box. This was also a wbtb in the morning.

      Hello Seeker,

Like others already told you. SP is not at all a necessity for WILD. In fact, I will add to that that while SP and WILD are often correlated, they are NOT related.

They are two very different things that just happen to coïncide in time. WILD has to do with the aspect of dreaming and consciousness. SP has to do with the physiology of sleep. They're just two random strangers that go to work at the same time so often pass each other in the street

(the correlation between the two, and the reason why most tutorials do in fact quote SP as essential in WILD, is in my opinion a lesser known third factor, which is simply "attention". But that's a different discussion)

So that said, yes, it's perfectly normal to WILD without SP. Or vice versa, perfectly normal to get into SP without WILD'ing.

Personally, in the WILDs I've had, I never feel a thing. There's no vibrations, no numbness, definately no SP. On the contrary, if I feel these things, WILD won't come at all (because I can't shift my attention away from them like others on this board can. These sensations keep pulling me back to waking state and ruining my chances of falling asleep).

In the end, it's all about finding out what works for you
