      WILD Eyes Question

Well, this morning I awoke and remembered reading in EWLD that if you awake from a dream, it is possible to pass consiously back into the dreamstate if you remain completely still ("play dead", I think it said). So, I closed my eyes and relaxed thoroughly, concentrating on retaining my consiousness as I drifted off to sleep. It worked. I felt the falling sensation, the "shift", the vibrations, the whole nine yards. I experienced no hypnagogic imagery whatsoever as this occured, and nothing besides the aforementioned tactile sensations indicated the transition. I thought this would be enough, however, to get me lucid. I also remembered reading a post here that indicated that sometimes you just have to "open your dream eyes" to begin the lucid dream. I tried this, and to my dismay, I awoke into sleep paralysis and had to wait it out until I completely passed into the waking state. Opening my "dream eyes" has caused this to happen at least twice before, and I am beginning to become discouraged. When I was in this state of waking sleep paralysis, I tried to "roll out of my body", and I feel the roll, but my eyes seem to stay fixed on that one same scene, and it's back to square one. After once again skimming through Clairity's WILD post, I saw that she said she couldn't remember if she opens her eyes or she "sees through her eyes" to begin the dream. Unfortunately, I have to know this vital piece of information. So, am I being too impatient? Should I wait for a dreamscene to appear in my mind's eye or something? Should I try to "roll out of my body" before I open my eyes? I am so close, and I believe this is probably the last step in the process because I remember reading a quote illustrating the fact that once you can see the dreamscene, you can become immersed in it. Thank you for your help.

For me when I WILD my dream eyes are already open. I wait for the scene to form around me and then I'm immersed. I think this is probably because this is how I expected it to happen and you know how much expectation has to do with this whole process. Because it is different for everyone I'd suggest you wait until you see some sort of a dream scene then passivly wait to be incorporated into it. I'm exicited for you you sound very close. Good Luck!

Well, this morning I was able to pass through the transitional stage in WILD and I waited for a dreamscene to appear. I tried imagining different scenes, but no actual imagery appeared in my mind. I ended up just waking up from the WILD. This is really proving to be quite a challenge. Maybe I'll try rolling or getting out of my bed (in the dream, of course) and see if anything appears.

Thats what i did early today beacuse all i saw was black. But even after i rolled out of my bed i still only saw black. When i started seeing an actual dream scene is when i opened the my my bedroom door. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I tried this with two WILDs last night, and it worked perfectly for both. I got the dreamscene of my hallway upon opening my door. It would be interesting to see if I can change the dreamscene by envisioning different rooms (e.g. classrooms) upon opening my door. Then, maybe I can just envision an island or space or something. Thanks, man.
      While sleeping, watch.

AYYYYY! Good to see it worked for you man. And with the envisioning diffrent rooms outside the door is deffiantly a great way to get places and is a common technique. But don't to be worried if it doesn't work the first time because your probally such a custom to looking at the exact same thing everyday in waking life. But just rember it's your dream and if you think there is going to be a classroom outside that door there will be a classroom outside that door.

      Glade i can help though!
