Heh, I found SL through DV, and I've been there almost four years. It definitely has a lot in common with LDs. Anyone can PM me if you'd like to meet up. Xavier, you sound familiar and might already be on my friends list... |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Argh! I don't know how to register. I enter my first name and second name, but I press enter and it returns to the homepage - What's that all about? |

Crazy, I'm pretty sure the old lady that lives in the apartment below mine told me about this one day. Like she's a creator or something like that. o.O |

Xavier Neruda, |

I've had numerous dreams based in weird SL/RL hybrid settings, usually socializing or building, but I've never gone lucid in one of those. |

How does Second Life aid you in lucid dreaming? |

I'm "Oneironaut Garside." (Horrible name, I know. I'd change it if I didn't have to go back and remake my whole character.) |

Hehe, I don't know that SL has ever helped me w/ LDs. You could always incorporate RCs into your av, or put an "Are you Dreaming?" sign on your HUD or something. |

Second Life is like a dream world. If, while playing, one does reality checks, then, while in a dream (not unlike the setting and atmosphere of SL) on would ask, "Am I dreaming?" It's just a kind of simulation. Nothing Rocket Science just another opportunity. If one was dilligent about RCs in SL then progress could be made, I am quite sure. I will work on it and share my results. Regardless it is a great way to communicate. More fun than Skype and cheaper than phone. |

So here's something interesting. |
|
I've been a member of second life for a couple years now, my username is Anthony Asturias. Unfortunately, I had to join the teen grid, where there is little of interest, and I'm stuck there until I can arrange to have my account transferred to the main grid in a bit more than a year, so I got bored of it a while before I became interested in lucid dreaming. |
|
Seems interesting. I'll sign up and tell you guys who I am. |
|
I've joined, as Mos Nightfire. Downloading the software now. I won't be able to play much, only when I can get out to a high-speed connection, as I am now, but at least I do have an account. |
|
I registered. My name is Geeruu Gumbo |
|
Okay I hate to ask this, but is it okay to give your real number? |
|
Here's a script for a reality check reminder for Second Life. I haven't tested it much, but it should work fine. |
