Is it possible to obtain a WILD whilst first going to sleep? (No WBTBs or anything, straight off):blahblahblah::hijack::hump::lolxtreme::bowdow n::banana:
not easy, but definetly possible
Sure. Anything is possible. It's just that some things are more probable.
Truth be told, it will take longer to WILD at the beginning of sleep than later on. This is because at the beginning of the night, there is more NREM sleep than REM sleep. Keep in mind REM=dream, and also remember that each sleep cycle (NREM time+REM time) adds up to about 90 minutes. So at the beginning of the night WILD, you'd be sitting still for 80 minutes, and you'll get only 10 minutes of dream time. Compare this with a WILD later in the night/early morning, when NREM periods are as short as 30-40 minutes, giving you as much as 50-60 minutes of REM sleep.
Sure, you may be more driven to WILD at the beginning of the night as opposed to the groggs of 5:00AM, but exactly how much bang for your buck do you want?
its possible...but not recomended. No one i have heard of has had much success with it. just do a wbtb. I dont know why its so hard for people :whyme:
and whats with all the random smileys?
I find WBTB's really hard. I can never fully wake up until I'm done sleeping... even if I set alarms...
Yeah my problem with WBTBs is I'm always too tired, and just shut the alarm off & turn over and fall asleep.
Set multiple alarms, five minutes or so apart. That's what I do. Do you have a cell phone? My cell phone (which I never use for phone calls!) can set three alarms, and I can even change the volume so as not to wake others. <3
Actually I've heard of several people who claim to beable to do it, but it's not the easiest, it's one of my major goals though.
I've achieved SP when trying a WILD directly from being awake. I've never gotten any furhur than that though.
i can do it, but it takes awhile. it is possible though.
this happened a long time ago, I remember when i first went to sleep at night after about 15 minutes of laying there i was in some washroom eating shaving cream, and then it hit me "Why am I doing this?" I dont know if it was a dream, since I just went to bed. But im pretty sure it wasn't Hypnagogic Imagery because I could actualy feel eating the shaving cream
I know it wasnt real, and it was really dark. I dont know where I was? Was it a dream?
