index finger through palm |

I did the nose pinch reality check, and I got a nosebleed! Got any other reliable RCs I can use? |

This is the date of my first lucid: 3/6/2010
It took WAY TOO LONG - but was completely worth it.

I didn't pinch my nose that hard, I guess it was just dry or something. Weird thing is, I don't get a lot of nosebleeds. |

If I did the nose RC and got a nosebleed, I would probably decide I must be dreaming. |

Good thing he didn't try to run through a wall. That wouldn't be very good for an already bleeding face. |

Well, if it makes anyone feel better, I did the finger count as the blood dripped all over the bathroom sink. *Sighs* But now LDing has mocked me, and I will conquer it! Tonight! Hopefully... |

Hey, that happened to me too. But, oh well, I don't care. It's become a very reliable reality check for me. It only happened once out of nine months of doing it. So I guess I can deal with it. |

Hasn't done it again. But it was dry where I live because of a heck of a drought. That could have affected it. |

I usually just use the nose pinch and text change RCs. I'm sure there are others that you can use that will work better for you. I suggest you read the Wikibook on Lucid Dreaming, as it discusses numerous RCs with a chart grading it on quickness, discreetness, and other criteria. |

While sleeping, watch.
Memory Reality Check! It's good because you don't look like a dumbass and always works. Poor quality dreams will cause reality checks to not work correctly sometimes (I've never been able to put my hand through my palm unless I was already lucid.) Think back the last hour or so, if you can't remember how you got some place then you are dreaming. |
