How close am I to WILD?

So... I've had many DILDs, but never one WILD... I really haven't tried too much, but recently while trying I've had some results. After sleeping for about 6 hours, I woke up, sat there for a few minutes, repositioned myself, and lay perfectly still on my back with my arms at my sides. I focused on my breathing and began counting and saying "1, I'm dreaming. 2, I'm dreaming......." in my mind. After maybe 10-15 minutes, my body began to feel heavy. Eventually my arms began to feel all tingly and such. They then went completely limp, and when this happened I thought "Must be getting close, my arms are in SP". I felt weird vibrations and my heart rate sped up dramatically, and then just as suddenly as it began, it all stopped. At this point I lost all encouragement, and rolled over.... Was I close/what did I do wrong? Thanks.

You probably got excited or suprised when your heart rate went up/vibrations started, and getting excited can knock you out of sleep paralysis (thereby ending the WILD attempt). Now that you're expecting it, try not to get excited.

I have the same problem. I usually get it till my heart rate goes up, thing is, I tell myself I am not excited, and to to be excited. I slow my breathing and do EVERYTHING I can to slow down the heart rate, but it always ends the WILD for me... why is that?
