      Do dream shrines work?

I've been wondering something for a very long time now. Somebody at my school who knows about LD's said that the way he controls his dreams is by keeping a dream shrine right next to his bed. Here are my questions:
      • Has this worked for anyone?
      • If so, how is it done?
      • How do you make one?

Please give as much details as possible.
Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

      What's a dream shrine?

LDing is about confidence and motivation, so, whatever helps that.

I have a plasma lamp which I stare at while I fall asleep while MILDing. It helps to keep my thoughts on LDing and prevents them from wandering. Does that count as a dream shrine?

Sort of, but my friends definition was a group of objects that you place by the bed as a daily routine that can trigger lucidity.

Yes, that's the definition of a Dream Shrine, camera_man1231. I wanted to create one too but I would like to know if others alredy did it and if it helps or not in LD.

Btw, I'm new here so Hi! to everyone.
