There is already a chat system built into SL.

There would be no need to try and use other systems, vent is actually very complicated, however it is free, TeamSpeak would be better, and if you run off of someone's actual computer it is free (basically someones computer is the server) but it can also be not free, and be used on the home server.

It takes a while to get used to the system's directional uses, but once you do it gets pretty fun, if you can find places to hang out hehe.

I really want to learn how to build on their and write scripts, but it was so complicated without trying to read the guides lol I gave up.

Edit: Firecracker, I checked Second Life out...seems much better than the previous game. (Especially the ability to fly, which scored major points in my book )

      Question Input gratitude

      Hey everyone,

Thanks so much for your input. I really appreciate it. I have decided to offer 3 ways for Live Communication between group members.

      1. Teleseminar, conference calling, option via telephone.
      2. Guild Wars using headset/mic
      3. Second Life using headset/mic

All of these will be optional; one can still complete the OBE or LD course without participating in Live Communication.

There will be a specific hour chosen each week for each of the above methods.

      What thinkest thou?

      Don

As long as there's a "live chat" or IRC channel option then it'll be fine for me (I don't speak English).

I just sent you an Email, hopefully I'll be able to get SL to work with Vista.

My vote is for the 3rd option, btw...does it cost money to talk via headset/mic in SL?

Nope, unless you considered buying a mic or headset at a store =P

Interesting stuff....... Count me in, the be7ond is what i target
also i vote for the 3. Second Life using headset/mic , since i dont have any games.

This sounds promising, worth to explore.

Do you mean February? Cause I don't think there was a Friday on the 1st of January.

(btw the stuff i'm most interested in is the OBE and things related to to it hehe, would be neat to see what it actually involves.)

Ah, second life. It's free, so that might be a good option instead of GW.

      Real Start Dates

Okay, I made a mistake up there.

The Lucid Dreaming Online Course starts January 15th.

The OBE Online Course starts February 1st.

      There.
