just tried the "how to trick your body into falling asleep" guide

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...highlight=pain
i just tried this guide and it went well to start with. i had no trouble staying still, my eyes were flickering slightly but i could keep them closed, then suddenly i had this feeling in my stomach. you know when you are on a roller coaster or swinging really high on a swing, and as you go down you get that WHOOSH in your stomach? thats what it felt like. and my heartbeat sped up really fast. i could literally hear it. is this good? i didnt get any further than that because my mum called me down for tea.

That is a normal thing, that happens the few first times you attempt to enter SP consciously. It will go away, once you get more used to a "detached" body. I'd say maybe 5 another succesful enterings should do it. Don't think too much of it. You can always stop, and try again later, if it gets too intense.

wicked! progress after only knowing about this for a few days I didn't feel detached from my body (i dont think anyway) it just felt really intense heartbeats and i was having to force my eyelids shut. Gonna try it again in a while. gonna try switching my light off and lying in total darkness for half an hour before trying again.

I love the feeling, it's very rare, like you're being converted into raw energy or something :O
