lol wth? Explain if you're serious, I want to know what this is all about

so you're watching your dreams but not aware that you're dreaming? You have to become aware that you are dreaming before you can "step in".

TBH I've never had that experience with non lucid dreams (for non LDs i'm always immersed) but thats usually how a WILD happens for me. I don't really know how to explain HOW though, you just DO

I have a simuler problem. The closest I've gotten was a kind of WILD I wasn't trying to WILD it just happened. I was relaxed and prepaired for sleep, getting comforatble. Watching the images in my minds eye. And the next thing I knew I was looking at my hands -which where vibrent green- and realized I was dreaming. The LD only lasted like maybe 15 seconds. But it's the closest I've ever gotten

About the Noseplug I think she says it because it's a good way to RC. If you can breath through your nose when its plugged, you're dreaming! Because your mind will let you breath through it wether or not you physicly can or not.

I have the exact same problem. I have excellent dream recall, I can usually remember at least 1 dream every night, however, for the most part, I am just a viewer or it's just happening without me knowing I'm dreaming. The only lucid dream I had was by accident... someone woke me up early one morning from a wrong number telephone call, and I was unable to fall back asleep for a while... but when I did, I had a lucid dream. I was standing inside a large empty house and the only thing inside was a spiral staircase in the middle... I thought it was kind of weird, and then I realized I dreamt about this house before... and then I slapped myself a couple of times to see if I would feel pain. Thats when I realized I was dreaming and was able to explore a little before I woke up.

How does one become aware in a dream? What's the next big step after dream recall?
