      Dreamsigns in real life

one of my major dreamsigns of late seems to be guns... sometimes 'real' and other times fake (waterpistols cap guns etc.)

and i was just wondering if there are any suggestions for which i could relate this to as it is rather unlikely that i am going to see guns in waking life very often so not exactly helpful

Get another dreamsign that is real..LOL..Kidding... U can get toy guns but hide them out of sight in a drawer or something. And when U feel like RCing...U have to take out the gun, look at it tell Urself 'It's a GUN I have to do an RC now"....so basically NO GUN NO RC. It should work after a few weeks depending on how often and how Ur mind accepts it. U can also use it during WBTB.

Maybe you could do a finger-pistol reality check. If it really fires, it's a dream.

Do your dream guns work? I used to always have a malfunction. Gun breaks, bullets fall out, etc. As soon as I recognized that, it seemed to go away.

wait.. isn't the point of reality checking to test reality?
you see something that isn't normal to your everyday life, and you reality check.
if you have guns all around your house all day, then what would be the significance of them in your dream? you don't want guns around you in real life for it to be a succesful dream sign.

fuck guns anyway though, lol. hate 'em. theyre a big dreamsign of mine too.

Hi, no the mind does not reason in the dream and hence will not 'test reality'. The mind only remembers programmed response like 'SEE A GUN..DO A CHECK'...'LIGHT FAIL....DO A CHECK' not by reasoning at all. The lucidity only occurs after the check turns positive that it is a dream....

some of the time, sure, and that is a technique to becoming lucid, but thats not the only way to become lucid. some times you do use reason in a dream, and it leads to you discovering that it's a dream. I've had it happen to me personaly, as i am sure others here have too.

thanks for the breakdown of the human mind though.
