      Deild?

I've tried two nights in a row, but when I wake up it takes me about two minutes to realise that I was supposed to try and DEILD. By then it's too late and I've moved about and perhaps forgotten my dream scene.

So, I was wondering, how do you remember when you wake up? I'd like people's successful methods please.

Having good recall greatly helps with DEILD.

You could try auto suggestion... like repeat "I will awake from my dreams and completely remember them, and when I wake up I will not move or open my eyes."

EDIT: If you remember your dream, you have a better chance of realizing that its ending.

It's when you wake up from a dream and immediately go back into it. You have about a three second window of opportunity and if you miss it then it's too late. It's basically a super-accelerated WILD.

Having good comprehension of dreaming helps out. While my dream is ending I almost always realized that it's a dream. Whenever it starts to fade away I know so if I can usually remember during that time that I want to DEILD. Usually when I wake up though I have to get up and piss

Ah, so you have to get lucky and realise it was a dream within 3 seconds of waking? That's irritating. It usually takes me at least 30 seconds
