Mirror Rc (works good in college dorms)
Hey I've been trying to find that one way that makes me become lucid every night. It hasn't been until I went to college that I discovered how I can do it. First of all I would like to note my college dorm room is small and has a mirror I always walk by. Like many teens I have acne. I always look at my face whenever I walk by my mirror and I am very familiar with the way my face looks because of this. I am also a guy so I also check to see if I need to shave. When I brush my teeth I look at my face to see how my acne is and if I need to shave. There is not a lot of things to do in my college so I am in my room a lot or I am in someone elses room. When Iam in someone elses room and I walk by a mirror I take a quick glance at my face out of habbit.
I realized in my dreams I was looking at myself a lot in mirrors. I realzied why, which somehow helped my recall I think. For 2 weeks I remembered more and more of what I did in the mirror. What I was doing was checking my acne, brushing my teeth, and checking if I needed to shave. Well one night I realized my face looked different. So I did a nose r/c and became lucid. I now always think about looking in a mirror before I go to bed, and to do a nose r/c anytime I catch myself looking at a mirror when I am awake. I've had several lucids since then.
This method might be easier for girls because they check their makeup, and their hair. Just become more aware of how you look in the mirror when you are awake. When you are dreaming and looking at yourself in the mirror you can easily see there is something wrong and will do an r/c.
Here are things I find in the mirror when Iam dreaming
-My skin color is the same color as the shirt I'm wearing.
-In a dream my eyes might hurt and I looked in a mirror (I am white) my eyes looked different as if they were the eyes of an asian person. I thought to myself that's weird I looked away then back and they were normal.
-Sometimes my hair is really messed up
-The person I'm looking at in my mirror isn't me
-I might be missing a facial feature like my nose
Since I can picture myself without looking in a mirror I can compare how I look in the mirror during a dream with the way I know I look. If you spot something that seems out of place don't look away, instead look at it and remember how you look, then do an r/c. If you look away you might get distracted and forget about it.
I realized if I can become very aware of the way I look then I should do the samething with my enviornment. So I pictured the way my dorm room looked in my head through out the day. That very night I had a dream where I was in my chair on my computer I turned around and there was a desk where my bed was and my roomate was using it. I thought that's impossible, I did the nose r/c and became lucid.
I've had 10 lucids the past 2 weeks so for me this method is working.
If you decide to try this let me know how this works.
