      Lightbulb problems with inducing/attaining lucidity

So sometimes during my dreams i will notice one of my dream signs and start to recognize i am dreaming, but it always just fades out. sometimes ill have like 10 seconds where i try and make something happen, or bring someone into the room with me but it has yet to work. Alternatively, i wake up around 8-9am and then try and fall back asleep and maybe try and do the WILD technique. usually when i attempt this, i start to feel this rush of feelings, and i feel myself fade out of conciousness and things start to just go.........well... WILD.

for instance this morning, i woke up and then started to fall back asleep, i felt myself slipping and felt that body rush and then when i opened my eyes, the ceiling was moving and it looked as if there were a black and white version of centipede being played on it. i then remember closing my eyes, and basically levitating off my bed and floating away, i tried to control it and attempted to cause some changes in what was going on, but failed and just awoke after what seemed like maybe 30 seconds of random floating / flying.

ive yet to fully have a lucid dream but my dream recall is usually anywhere between 2-4 dreams a night.

help!! ive been trying diligently but cant seem to get it going...!!!

That flying sensation that you mention isn't part of your dream, it's just what sleep paralysis feels like, there is no way to control it at all.

Try waiting a while before trying to summon anything, you have to first lock your dream in place. Also, changing a dream can cause it to become unstable and go away.

Try WILDing much earlier, I've only been successful around 4am. By drinking a lot of water I'm assured to wake up right about then. WILDs are also hard to start doing.

So when i start to feel that floating body rush feeling. just let it happen? i was somewhat scared when it happened this morning, because i didnt know what to do, and it was just an odd burst of feelings. ohh and im confused. was i awake, and my eyes were actually open when i was looking at the ceiling... or was i asleep and imagining it.

since WILDing is difficult. should i concentrate on dream signs and and trying to recognize im dreaming instead of inducing it from a waking state? i just read some things about rubbing hands and spinning and stuff. so im gonna try that this evening.
