Can Anyone Explain This?
I had a very strange experience last night, hopefully someone can help me figure out what actually happened.....
Before bed I had 2 pretty potent mugwort teas (dreaming herb - hey it was cheap, worth a try), and went to bed at a reasonable hour. Ive been having a dry spell lately and decided to try sleeping on the other side of my double bed for a change. I began visualising random things, image streaming that sort of thing.
Here is where I lose clarity as to what happened: I remember being in a cafe with a friend walking around, and a girl turns around to look at me and smiles, I smile back and continue to the bar. Shortly after I feel myself vibrating very heavily (like SP, but very intense and seeing swirling pictures unlike my SPs) and could see my hands in front of me. I didnt want to move so i could see what happens. Eventually I felt like I was on my bed again but still vibrating, and going so fast that I actually started vibrating around on the bed. I felt myself getting dragged to the other side of the bed slowly, and then fell down on the floor, expecting to hit my head on my sidetable, but didnt. I laid here for a while before thinking I better get up and open my eyes to see where I am - and to my surprise, when I did I was back where I was when I started - still in bed.
The thing I cant get straight, is in the cafe, whether I was actually in a dream (colour) or just my hallucinations (dark/uncoloured-back of my eyelids). Im thinking it might have been a visualisation that was just on the end of entering an LD - although Ive wilded before and it was not like that.
I dont know. Anyone have any diagnosis?

Hey there,
Sounds like you were right at the edge of dreaming and sleeping.
It can happen sometimes, you begin to dream, then some sort of waking sensation or even bodily sensation drags you back.
The vibrations you felt were likely the feeling of your body falling asleep (and possibly going into sleep paralysis), which your dreaming mind captured and turned into a new dream, one highly reminiscent of your actual waking enviroment (the part where you fell out of bed), exactly because you were so close to waking.
Just my 2 cents,

Swank, I agree with Redrivertears.
The "sliding" action you described reminded me of this thread:

Wow, thanks clairity, that thread sounds exactly like what happened to me, but not intentional and before bed. Oh well I guess it was just a really weird version of SP.
Thanks guys!
