      WILD without visualizations/HI

Hi, I just created an account on this site, but I have been browsing the forum for a while now. I've read a lot of tutorials on WILDing, but all of the ones I've found have talked about HI as a key step, and the ones that don't rely heavily on HI still mention HI somewhere in the tutorial. I was wondering if it was possible to WILD without any HI, because I find that I can never get any HI... Thanks.

Hey welcome to DV!! I find I get HI if I stay completely still for long enough... Just be truly tired and give it a try!! Good luck!!

This doesnt exactly exactly answer your question, but it may help you progress a bit further with WILD.

Thanks for the tips... I'll see if I get any better luck tonight. Usually I can get lucid anyway through a dild, simply by attempting a WILD.

Yea.. I was a little confused by your post... I assumed that you either forgot something or meant: "This doesnt exactly exactly answer your question, but it may help for you to progress a bit further with WILD."

That link helps a lot, thanks.

Oh, sweet. Thank you. I had actually read your WILD tutorial, but I was a little confused because you mentioned following the HI if it showed up. So you can WILD successfully by simply waiting for SP and then rolling out of bed into the dream?

If you wild without hypnagogic imagery, I guess you'd know you're about to dream as soon as sleep paralysis (those waves, vibrations, distortions, sinking feelings, and other odd physical sensations) hits, and that you are dreaming once you see something. I think that's how it generally works for me when I WILD...because if I get hypnagogic imagery it often means that REM is a long ways off, actually.

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.
