Thread: Tell me about your determination to lucid dream tonight.

Hi everyone,

I was thinking, since alot of people seem to get quite frustrated with the unpredictability of Lucid Dreams, perhaps a thread, where you share with others about what you want to dream about, and a specific, encouraging environment where people support each other in beleif that they can LD, and even plan LD's, maybe if you go to bed, fantasizing about DV being there with you, an ally in your quest, and thinking that there is a location here on DV where other people are also determined to go into the "dream plane" and become lucid, perhaps we'll have some results.

Let me know if you understand this, It is beggining to look like a random train of thought, perhaps I'll edit, If I can figure out how to word it better.

My main point is, let us in on your struggles, and let the fact that DV members want to help you, relax you, while you lay in bed, imagine everyone else in there different stages of sleep, some LD'ing some not, and imagine everyone going in with you, smiling to yourself that you can do this...

I will have a lucid dream tonight, and so will you. There, how's that for determination !

Tonight onwards I will have lucid dreams everynight with no hassel. Just flick the switch after 2nd or 3rd REM and sleep on....:p. Let there be light and become lucid....

Sorry to ruin this, but to be honest I find intention/motivation techniques to be fairly ineffective for actually becoming lucid. However, they work very well for dream recall.

I disagree, i think belief goes a long way to achieving ld's.

I plan on visiting the Lucid Crossroads, and attending Alex D's and Kromoh's wedding. I'm also hoping my DG will attend so I can meet him or her.

Tonight I plan to go to the crossroads. I might go into the wedding but I won't stay. And I'll exit the crossroads after checking it out via the mirror, which will deposit me into a zombie filled city. Now, over the last few days my dreams have been especially long and weird which is great because I reality check when the abnormal happens. Two nights ago I had an amazing set of LD's and the night after the next I had another. I'm pretty confident for some more LD's soon.

I'm determined to have a lucid dream tonight. I WILL. And so will all you guys! I will first tell myself I am, then go to sleep. I am going to set an alarm for four hours after I go to sleep, then, when I wake up, I shall attempt FILD, or something. Which WILL work. I will go into a dream, then realize I'm dreaming, and have an amazingly vivid, clear, lifelike lucid dream, that will last for a long time and I can do anything, make/summon anything and go anywhere in. Then, if I wake up during a dream, I will remain perfectly still and slip back into it. Then I will have this type of lucid dream very very often for the rest of my life. And so will all who aspire to do the same, whether you're reading this or not.

Well, Kitties, by looking at what you've posted, you've at least convinced me that you will! Say, what do you plan on summoning?

I'm going to continue my dream from this morning. It will work because I've been thinking about it all day, planning it out. I am determined to succeed. I will have more control than usual because I will enter lucidity through WILD rather than DILD. It will happen because when I wake up my body will remain tired, and the sun will not have risen yet. During waiting time, I'll continue focusing on my goals. I will not move until I see the scene.

I dunno, really. xDD This is my plan for my first LD, though I've been trying for a little while now. We'll see when the time comes (and it WILL!), I guess. If it works, I'll probably attemt to summon up something stupid like dancing carrots or something.
