hey can some one tell me the better of the to i cant choose
well it depends on alot of things
if you are saying which one is easier to start then it would definatly be DILD
if you were saying which one is more reliable WILD would take the cake.
which one is better for a lucid beginer? DILD
WILD is probably the hardest technique out there. but when mastered you could have a lucid dreams everynight.
DILDs are a much easier technique to start. but you cant master DILDs. they will always come pretty much at random.
so i dont know i guess i would say DILD is way easier, but WILD works best :)
if you are a beginner though, chose DILD
thx ive already had a few dilds so ill try wild
What do you mean "you can't master DILDs"? The most "ideal" way of doing DILDs is that you enter a LD every sleep cycle. I have heard of a guy here on Dream Views forum who could get a lucid dream just by thinking about it at night.
But I agree. A newbie should start at DILD techniques. Yes, they are very random, but also alot easier to learn. It's less frustrating to try and learn to DILD, so more experienced LDers get less discouraged at a failure at WILD.
Does sleep Deprivation help you conquer WILD? I mean Since you get so sleepy when you have lack of sleep. Why not go with that? So what do guys think?
Could it be a Key to WILD espcially since you tend to fall asleep faster,
hmm.. WILD is supposed to be harder for n00bs. (:D) but i figured it out rather quickly. DILD is also quite simple.
he sounds more like a natural to me. Some people can just have them naturally. But what i mean by "you cant master DILDs" is there is always that chance that you wont succeed because there is a lapse in consiousness. Even if you got really good at DILDs If i came up to you and asked you if you were going to have a DILD that night chances are you wouldnt be able to say you were 100% sure that you were. cause there is that lapse of consiousness. Now with WILD its different. There is no lapse of consiousness. And if you do the technique 100% perfect, you will have a LD.Quote:

of course thats the problem isnt it? What is THE technique? You have to make it. Most everyone's WILD technique is just a bit different then the other persons. And thats what makes it so frustrating. You could be doing exactly what WILD guide tells you to, and still not get a WILD. You kinda have to make your own.
So thats what i mean by "you cant master the DILD technique". :)
All of the various techniques are about increasing the odds of having an LD. Very few people can ever claim to have "mastered" any tech.
As has already been said, DILD is the default LD method because it doesn't require any work other than simply being aware of the possibility of lucid dreaming. You can increase your DILD frequency with tools such as RCs, DJs, and simply occupying your waking mind with lucid dreaming and its possibilities.
WILD is considered an advanced technique but don't let that terminology discourage any newcomers. Newbs can be just as successful with WILDs as with DILDs. WILD is only harder because it requires actually taking a more active role.
So, in short, begin with DILD and MILD then add in WILD (preferably along with WBTB). DEILD is also a good technique. It's pretty much another twist on the WILD theme, only you don't "fully" awaken before hand.
Don't rely on one single method. Try several at once. Just remember, DILD is most efficient at random LDs, WILD is most efficient at producing LDs on command but, neither is foolproof. Failed WILD attempts often trigger a DILD so, yeah...
Half the time the trick with WILD is just getting lucky and then trying to copy what happened when you got lucky. DILD is easy but as seeker said WILDing is the holy grail of lucid dreaming and can be hard to attain. I know people ( in real life) who have been trying to WILD for more than a year and still haven't made the connection.
And prophecy has foretold that, one day, the Chosen One will arrive - a man (or woman) who can have a continuous lucid dream from the moment s/he lies down to the moment s/he rises in the morning. And s/he will lead us to glory and victory . . . in our dreams!
I'm sorry, I just laughed when I read that line. I had to jump on it.
