just a minute ago I opened up "sound recorder" on my computer and recorded a minute of nothing (no microphone plugged in) and clicked "decrease speed" until it wouldn't let me anymore leaving me with 16 minutes or 960 seconds of blank .wav file. I saved it 3 times as 1.wav, 2.wav, and 3.wav, all the same 16 minutes of blankness. Then I recorded myself saying "THIS IS A DREAM, YOU ARE DREAMING... RIGHT NOW" and saved it as 4.wav. I put the files 1, 2, 3, and 4 in my iTunes library, then in a playlist called "dream notifier". I went into settings on my ipod, turned off shuffle, and uploaded the playlist to my iPod. I connected my iPod to my iPod speaker apparatus and set it to the volume I saw fit. I then set my alarm for 4 in the morning and plan on going to sleep between 12 and 1. And I'm going to play just before I go to bed, and then WBTB at 4 and play it then as well. It will go through each 16 minute blank wavs in order and therefore play my voice "you are dreaming now" after approx. 45 minutes. |

Hi Jamous: |

Hey Jamous... I had been wanting to try something like this. How have a built-in microphone on my laptop. How can I record my message though? What program did you use to make the voice recording? |
|
Cool idea, I actually made a post aobut it, I didn't know there already was one lol. I'm trying it tonigh so I'll let you know how it goes! |

And all my nightly dreams,

And where thy footstep gleams.

I have an idea, record about 85 minutes of blankness, then record you saying "this is a dream, do a reality check" and repeat it for ten minutes and loop it, this way it should do that while your in rem. |
|
good idea, I think I'll make another playlist with 2 hours of blankness then my voice que 4 times every ten minutes, then go blank for another 2 hours with another cycle. Then when wake up hopefully, and if I haven't had a lucid dream yet, I'll play the 45 minute one. |
|
I just use one that says, "I am aware that I am dreaming" "I am aware that I'm in a dream," "You will remember to check your reality and identify that you are in a dream state." I put it on repeat and play it all night. Hasn't worked yet, but that doesn't mean that it won't. |

well, actually what I said was I had three 16 minute blank recordings (16 minutes was as long as I could make each individual recording), then my voice... |
|
[QUOTE=jamous;475610]then last night I made it 2 hours, but it didn't work. I missed it completely the first time, then when I did a wbtb sort of deal and played it again I happened to have just woken up from a dream when it played. |
|
I actually intended to do this exact thing, with a recording saying "you're dreaming" after a few hours of silence. |
