Does anyone know the effects of smoking cigarettes on lucid dreams? I've been trying to quit for a while now anyway. I figure maybe the reason why I'm not good at LDs is because I smoke. Anyone know for sure? |

i smoke and i've had lucid dreams. |

I don't believe that smoking tobacco could effect your ability to LD at all. For about a 1 year and a half I smoked pot at least 4 to 5 times a day and still managed to have a few LDs. Now I don't smoke nearly as much so my recall is much better, however the best way to fix your issues with Lucid Dreaming is to let go of all excuses and work hard. |

meh. smoking may change your ability or the type of dream, but I doubt it could seriously effect it. Unless you were a chain smoker and your brain was dying. *shrugs* I smoke too, ever since I started I've gotten a little better at LDing. |

I doubt it'd have any direct effect beyond the obvious psychoactive effects of nicotine and nicotine withdrawl, but if you have health problems, such as coughing or diffculty breathing, as a result of smoking, that may affect your ability to LD. |

Nope no serious effects, and I don't chain smoke or anything. It just seems like one of those things that would hinder LD progress. Idunno. |

The tobacco in cigarretes can allow you to fall asleep faster, although I am sure that it has no negative effects on Lucid Dreams from what I have read on others posts and experiences. |

Nicotine patches is said to give extremly vivid (and possibly lucid) dreams, but i guess it's not the same with cigarettes. Maybe the nicotine dosen't stay long enough in the body, to have any effect on dreams, when smoked... |
