      So close...

The other morning I though I woke up and decided to try to have a lucid dream by just repeating "stay aware" in my head. I felt like I was losing consciousness but I was still aware of what I was doing. Then I saw Bender from Futurama for some reason...

I woke up and realized I had dreamt the whole thing. Graah!

And then today I tried the technique where you sleep for so many hours and wake up for a while, then go back to bed and repeat "I'm dreaming" and focus on some dream. I did have a falling sensation once, and a heaviness came over me. I tried doing a reality check then, but either I wasn't actually asleep or I accidentally woke myself up.

I did dream that I woke up and figured it didn't work, though, so I didn't even try an RC. When I woke up for real I was mad at myself. :/

I can feel you dreaming of me...

Yeah False Awakenings have disheartened quite a few individuals. The problem is neglecting that Reality Check. You may think you are actually awake and then put off the whole RC together and what does this do? It causes you to lose a chance at a LD which no one wants to do (Unless you don't want to LD).

Just try and remember to those RC's whether you are dreaming or not so it becomes a habit that will carry over from your dreams to waking life and vice versa. Keep at it and you will surely have a LD in no time.

I keep having false awakenings! This is the second morning in a row.

I have a feeling if this keeps up, I'll be able to finally attain lucidity. >:]

i get false awakenings almost daily! mostly when i am not even trying to WILD or FILD etc....sometimes its just when i wake up, regain consciousness and go back to sleep thinking about my dreams, and how i should get up to write them in my journal. today i had a dream that i was writing in my journal, but you could call it a false awakening

      Crap!!

I haven't been trying to do the WBTB in a while, but I keep waking up after about five or six hours of sleep. Just today I decided to go back to bed because I was too tired to stay up.

I had another false awakening, but this time I remembered to do a reality check. So I plugged my nose and I could breath, and I realized I was dreaming. However, I became paralyzed and I kept feeling vibrations (was that sleep paralysis)? And I eventually woke up without ever having gained control. :[

SP is when you are awake, or it's when your asleep let me start over.

SP occurs when you are sleeping, but for you to actually experience you have to be awake. So you could of been dreaming that you were experiencing SP. I never have false awakenings so luckly me although once in a blew moon it does occur and I mean "Once" in a blue moon.

Never say never Brandon Heat. I said that once and that night I had my first FA. I didn't do an RC and even wrote down my dreams from before. Now it's a natural habit for me to do an RC no matter how awake I am and how normal my room is... no FAs since but you never know when that moon decides to go all blue again... [evil sporadic moons]

Aww... *feels bad* Look on the bright side, it's another chance to have a high quality lucid. Maybe you could have a great FF dream? [Those are nice]

The dream was pretty weird...it didn't feel that real, but more...distant. I realized I was dreaming, and pretty much right when I did I forgot and the dream turned into a very short something else that I don't really remember. Shortly after that I went into paralysis, but I'm pretty sure I was at least half awake.
