this afternoon I decided to give WILD another try

and so I was on my bed. Did all the well known steps. Got relaxed, stayed conscious, and after some time I could feel my body slowly becoming numb, so I assumed I was getting into SP

after a little while I could feel some hallucinations.. I watched them, and after I did it for a period of time, I could see a dream-like image or a rollercoaster. It was strange, so strange that it faded and I was back to SP state

after another while, some more images formed into my head.. and then it happened

I don't know if it was a dream or not.. the thing I remember next is me and my sister in some island, talking about swimming to the continent. After I started swimming, I realized the sensation i was feeling was odd, and so all the scenario faded and I was back to SP state

still in SP, I didn't know if I had just had a dream, but after putting some effort on it, I could recall some bits of information that occured before the island thing, and those were also dream-like

now I'm not sure if this was a dream or just some kind of freaky hallucinaton.. no matter what it was, it wasn't lucid

any professional on WILD can tell me what happened? I have been trying to WILD for a while, but I never experienced such a thing before

I'm no WILD pro, but it sounds like you were going into regular dreams and getting blackouts. It happens to me all the time in my lucid dreams and then it's back to SP. You said yours weren't lucid though...That's kinda strange, but okay. It was just your dreams fading away I'd guess. You were drifting back and forth between being half awake and half asleep to completely sleeping probably. Since they weren't lucid that means you couldn't try dream spinning or rubbing your hands together to stay in the dream. Why not try this next time you have SP, roll your dream body out of your real one and go into a lucid dream. Some would call it OBE, but in my opinion it's just another lucid dream (not that I'm saying there couldn't be genuine OBEs). Anyways I'd say it feels just like you are rolling your real body. That's why alot of times I feel the need during SP to make sure I'm completely paralyzed before attempting this so I don't risk waking myself up by actually rolling in reality. It may sound weird ( then again so does lucid dreaming), but you got nothin to loose by just tryin it.

actually I was inducing hallucinations when I got the rollercoaster dream image

but man if tha twas dreaming, then there really isn't much difference in daydreaming and dreaming, the only difference would be that dreaming happens when you are asleep

anyways I'm gonna have a few more tries before i do actually come up with a conclusion.. it's just that it's hard for me to believe it was a dream.. I could swear I didn't doze off, and the whole WILD attempt took around 40 min, maybe even less

anyways thanks for the tip related to OBE... I guess daydreaming will somehow incubate a dream ;P

PS: I know what you mean when making sure you are paralyzed before getting out of your body... usually when I do it bfore getting paralyzed, I do actually use my muscles and perform slight movements
