      Thumbs down

Well, id like to say hi to everyone, i havent posted in a while, and have just recently become more serious about my dreaming and have started to get back into it...

NOTE: after writing this post i realized it was really long. sorry haha... i may ramble a little and be over-descriptive, but any advice anyone can provide me will be accepted gratefully. Thanks for reading!

last night, i made a great accomplishment in my attempts at WILDing. Throughout the night, I went into something, i dont know if it was sleep paralysis or what, but 3 times my body began vibrating intensely and one time my heart rate increased dramatically and i even went into a dream, but hit myself in the face in real life when i tried to do a reality check in the dream. (sigh.) Let me elaborate a little.

I awoke myself at 5am after going to bed around 2ish, i think, (i know this is not the reccomended ammount of sleep to get before WILDing, but i was so eager to do it i just didnt care) and immedeatley turned off my alarm and started counting to myself. "1 im dreaming... 2 im dreaming..." untill i got to 100, and figured i was too awake, so i let my mind wander, and eventually lost conciousness. HOWEVER, i came to a point where in my closed eyelids i saw geometric shapes spiralling into the center of my vision, and my heart rate increased dramatically, i began hearing things around me, and intense vibrations began shaking my body. This is the first time i had experienced such things, so i became over-excited and woke up to much.

My mind wandered, and I found myself in a dream. It felt just like a dream, and carried on for probably 10 minutes, untill all of a sudden, the vibrations came back, just as intense as before. I awoke myself too much once more, but then concentrated on the last scene of the "dream" i had just had, and the vibrations returned. This happened twice more, where i woke up too much and then concentrated on the last scene of my "dream", and I eventually slipped into what was actually, i believe, the beginnings of a WILD dream, however, as the magnifiscent dream scape was layed out before me, i didnt wait long enough, and did a reality check, which is when i hit myself in the face. DAMNIT. so close.

THIRD AND FINAL TIME (bear with me, im almost done) I was laying on my side when the vibrations came back, and i tried to let them happen passively, but since i was on my side my arm was at a wierd angle and began tweakin out on me enough to where i woke up entirely, rolled over, and fell asleep.

THE MORAL TO MY RAMBLINGS: Did I do it right?? Was I in an LD, and messed it up at the last second by not waiting for the dream to "sink in more" before doing a reality check? Since I thought I was already in a dream before hand, though, wtf was that? Im confused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and thank you so much for reading all the way down here to the bottom!!!

well... you can't really WILD if your not in a dream phase... there won't be a dream to walk into.5 1/2 to 7 hours after you sleep should be the time.

well... instead of hitting yourself in the face first thing... just close your "dream eyes" and keep repeating that your dreaming to yourself. then after 30 seconds or so of that, then try your reality check
