I want to pick up practicing LD'ing again, but I can't find even the slightest sliver of motivation to keep a dream journal. I wake up in the morning (by the alarm usually, for school) around 6:40. I might be able to keep one if I didn't have to wake up so early, but that's not going to happen.
How do you guys find the energy to do it? I've literally been trying for like 3 monthes to get a single entry, and I can't do it. I must have the willpower of a sloth.[/b]
I have the same problem as you. I have to get up about 20 minutes earlier actually and I'm usually awoken via alarm clock. It does seem to have a pretty dramatic effect on my dream recall, but I somehow manage to remember my dreams (it usually takes about an hour).
Usually, since I don't have the time to write down my dreams and I'm not waking up in the middle of the night, I just do my best to remember my dreams as detailed as I can, then I come back and type them up over here. I seems to have some effect, because before dreamviews I was about one dream per month at most, and now I'm around one dream every day or two.
Basically, while I'm on my way to school, I look around at stuff and it usually triggers the remember of a dream. Today, I had been awake for three-four plus hours until I finally remember my dream. I don't usually know what triggers it (maybe its a thought, maybe a feeling, maybe a tangible item). You just have to want to remember them, you can't just give up on yourself.
Also, as a side note, how badly does everyday stress screw up your LD'ing capability? I live a fairly stressful life due to school work, depression, having to get up early (zzz), slight cases of insomnia, etc etc. Hopefully it doesn't limit my chances to a critical point.
Thanks in advance for responses.

Again, I have to same obstacles as you. At first it may seem like it messes you up pretty badly, but you eventually get around to remember some dreams. Like I said before, you have to want dreams and you have to work for them. Who knows, maybe I'm not working at my full potential because of the stress I have from my daily life.
Stick with it, keep a record of everything you can remember of your dreams, and eventually you will improve.
