Thumbs down

Maybe if you are a begginner in lucid dreaming but good enough to talk to some one like your dream guide or just a dream character, you could tell that dream character to appear in all your dreams and tell you that you are lucid or something that will bring you to lucidity.

I'd like someone to try it seeing that I've only had one 5 second lucid dream.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea if I can remember to talk to a DC; well talk to them about dreaming I mean. Somebody else suggested to ask a DC why you are having this dream or something like that; I tried to remember to do it but I never did. I think I'll try your idea; actually I've got a sort of recurring DC right now so he may be a good one. He's a fun guy too so that wouldn't be bad.

I was actually planning on doing this when I lucid dream. I will tell my dream guide to make me do an RC whenever I am in a dream so I would become lucid. I also have a few other ideas. Like how to increase dream time. But first I need to lucid dream.

That's OK isn't it? There are so many ideas, sometimes I want to try one, but I forget, so I like to be reminded of it again. You're right, tho, talking to DC's does seem to be a popular subject right now.

It's fine, I like how he brought it up. I was going to try it in my next lucid dream, but I forgot to do it (I had one this morning). I was just saying it was already suggested before.

Regardless of whether it's been suggested before, thank you for bringing it up. It's a wonderful idea that I have to try.

Hmm... asking a DC for help... Okay, so it's just a fancy version of talking to yourself; but I've got to try this now.

This sounds effective enough, but does anyone have any success stories?

Thanks guys. Make sure you post what happens. But for some reason there's this thought in the back of my mind that this technique can be potentialy a lot better. I don't know why.

yea
this is a pretty well known technique.
i haven't heard any success stories, though i haven't really heard any none success stories..
so, let me know how it turns out,
my hypothesis is that this doesn't work.
but hey,
ya never know
They say dreaming is dead and noone does it anymore. It's not dead, it's just been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it, so nobody knows it exists. .. waking life

I tried this once a couple of years ago without success. Well perhaps it's time to give it a new try!

I wonder how we could make it work better.
Talking to this DC, you are talking to yourself. Perhaps you can tell the DC 'be aware when you are dreaming', 'check your reality', etc.

I'd be dead many times over if I committed suicide every time I forgot to do something I wanted to do when I was lucid.
