I deliberatedly attempted lucid dreaming the first time last night. I could enter lucidity with ease. I could control things at will. The problem is I couldn't stay in lucid dreams long. I didn't get exicted; I was in a 'relaxed, almost lazy' mind-state (Phillip Pullman's description). It's just that once I was lucid there was a seemingly mechanical bang on my head and then I was simultaneously experiencing two worlds, the dream and the sensory input. I had to put conscious effort into maintaining the dreaming state. I spinned all the time and it brought nothing back. When I tried to wake up I woke up in reality. My case is not addressed in Dreamview or lucidity.com FAQ. Has anyone experienced similar conditions? Are there suitable solutions? Thanks in advance. |
