I've noticed that when I get deeper into the stages of WILD my leg or arm will spasm or move jolting me out of the trance and makes my heart race because it really startles since Im not doing it consciously. I've had weird experiences like that before such as feeling as if I'm falling and my body will convulse making me think I just fell out of bed. I was just wondering if that happens to other people.

I have that happening almost everytime I try to WILD as well.
It's quite annoying to say the least and unfortunatly it makes your relaxation so much harder.
You could perhaps try to 'tell' your unconsciousness before you try to WILD that you don't appreciate these spasms and that you preferably don't have to have them (haven't tried that myself though, just an idea). I'm sure someone with a little more knowlage in this area can enlighten the both of us.
Lucid dreams = stopped counting them

Yeah, well, for me, it's not so much a spasm as it is a great urge, like that very popular I just want to open my eyes for a second....

I spose that concentrating hard on finding your heart in your body (really works, trust me&#33 will stop spasms, or you won't notice them, which means you won't lose focus.

      Hope this helps.

DyerMaker, what you describe is very, very common. I get it ALL the time, but I'm sort of used to it and I know what it is so it doesn't distract or bother me.

It's called "Hypnic Jerk". There's a wikipedia article on it if you search. It's totally normal and not at all harmful. Not sure exactly what causes it though...

yeah I didn't really think it to be harmful but just counter productive to WILDs. So you can still WILD even if it happens?

Yeah I have done this before as well, it can be quite startling if since you're not expecting it. I haven't had it occur while tryign to WILD yet, and it will tick me off if it does >_> anyway heres the link Blue Meanie spoke of:

It happens. The weirst inducement that I had was rolling out of bed and rolling to the other end of the room. The thing that got me the most was the fact it didn't freak me out at all since I know that I was dreaming.
