Well, I just thought of a technique that may very well prove to be an effective one.

[b]LWL (Learning While Lucid)

Disclamer: What follows is totally theoretical and is based on my (unintentional) research and past experiences (if any).

Now for a bit of explaining. Basically the scenario is this: You are trying to become lucid to no avail. Then suddenly -BAM- you have those random Lucids that seem to make your day. This is where LWL kicks in. You calm down and you either Meditate you are subconscious. So the meaning of "I" is that much more meaningful.

For example: "When I* count from one to five, I* will increase relaxation by ten."

*"I" refers to your subconscious, and not your conscious.

you meditate when the LD hits you or when you wake up from it?

Sorry if I was unclear, I meant during an LD. It was also meant for beginners to IMPROVE and not a first time learning thing.

Ah, ok i think i get it. (tell me if I'm wrong)

one day you fall asleep and find yourself in an LD, you think about LWL: "I should now meditate so that I will have more lucid dreams in the future, by meditating when I'm {b]in[/b] a dream I'm not just meditating like normal, since I'm in a dream my thoughts are now meshed with my subconscious more than normal so the induction method will be more effective"

is that what you meant?

anyway if it is then i personally don't think it would work any better than if you did it while you were awake, the reason being that when your really lucid you usually don't think any differently then if you were awake, (your thoughts aren't meshed with your subconscious) but who knows until someone tries

You know, if instead of meditating in the dream, how bout trying to understand how you got lucid while in that dream. I think that by understanding how you become lucid in a dream, you have more LDs. Just my theory.

It would seem when people go lucid, they get so excited and want to do all kinds of things, the last thing on their mind would be chiling out. We're too much like kids in nature, we want to have fun. But I see your point, it would take lots of discipline to mediate in an LD.

Hey, yeah. That seems like a pretty sound theory-- pushing thoughts into your subconscious via a dream.
