      WILD Scary

Okay, so after trying FILD for a while but always falling asleep without lucidity or at least not remembering the dream I decided to try WILD.

After doing HILD, I tried using WILD. After a while, I started shaking and my heart started beating really fast, and it felt like I was going to be paralyzed (at least I imagined so.) But anyway, I chickened up and sat up. (That was actually the second time, the first time similar things happened but not as much).

Anyway, is this in the normal cycle of WILD? Or is something wrong, because I'm getting nervous about trying it.

      EDIT:
When people normally go to sleep, I guess they could shake some but not all that much as I was... or was it just in my mind? o_O..

Sounds to me like you are on track for a successful WILD. Just allow the sensations to progress, at times they can become quite intense and might not ease off until just before you enter your LD.

Congrats on such rapid progress and please, keep trying!

      Hi and welcome

Just try to learn to enjoy the feelings, I managed a WILD this morning and I felt as if I was being thrown around for the full thing. But I love rollercoasters for the same reason, so I just relaxed and enjoyed it.

Good luck, like Seeker said your making impressive progress, so just keep trying, you'll get the hang of it soon enough

Talking of the heart-rate + breathing thing, on average/personal experience, how long does it take after the heart-rate + breathing stuff starts?

Dunno, I waited about 2 minutes and then finally chickened out.

Also, what happens once the sleep paralysis sets in? If you can't get into a dream, do you just get stuck there until morning trying to go to sleep? The whole situation is sort of for me.

This happened to me. But you don't really get paralyzed, I mean I don't think so.. I chickened out like you did, the first time I tried last night, and I had full control over my body. It must be a mind over matter thing.

Hmm... last night I was not going to chicken out (I felt different for some reason), but I couldn't get to that step like last time. I'll have to check over the tutorial I guess.
