I Don't Get Hypnagogic Imagery

Many techniques like WILD talk about how the Hypnagogic imagery starts to appear as you relax, then by using the technique, it will slowly solidifies, and if you do it just right you can slip into a lucid. I know this is a very simplified explanation, but I do understand the techniques themselves, but the problem is that when i relax, I get loads of sensations. Tinglings, heaviness, etc. etc., but there are never any sounds or images. How do I perform these techniques if I do not experience any images?

when HI starts u'll know,and u will be in a SP or about to get SP,but before u have to relax complitly,not fell sensations or any thing(well yes u have to fell sansations,first there a sensation of vibrating or any simular,then u fell hevy,than(mabey)u can here/fell blood pumping,then u fell light(ur body fells lifeless)and then comes the HI and from there i didn't concentrate good so i didn't do a WILD but i was so close),when u do WILD i think u have to be relly sleep(not sleepy as,man i don't want to do anything now i want to sleep,like this but u have to be more wake up(awere)to do a WILD or u'll fall a sleep imidietly,and try to be a awere what ur doing,to see what ur doing wrong,what to do better(mongreloctopus(if i got the name right)yust told me this :P)

Oh, I thought it started earlier, my bad. I know what your talking about though. I have gotten to feeling vibrations and blood pumping, but not past it, as I gave up after a while of this. I was under the impression HI started earlier, but in that case I just need to relax that extra bit...

Hypnogagic can take place during any relaxation phase prior to sleep. I've laid down for less than a couple of minutes and saw some of the clearest images I've ever seen. It was clear as any dream but I wasnt asleep yet. There were no vibrations, no sleep paralysis all I did was close my eyes. Usually it happens as soon as i close my eyes but everyone is different.

I tried it yesterday... Damn those sensations are freaky, Too bad I didn't do it the whole way, I had no dream that night :cry: But the thing is you just have to relax and don't think at all about all those sensation, by focusing on them you'll lose the goal you had set in mind, that is, to become lucid. Just relax and concentrate on your breathing the whole time. I realise that it is when I stop thinking completely for a second that I felt those sensation, if I could have gone with it I could have had a lucid dream last night...

I really cant get any HI either :( Tis sucks, cause I can only get so far using the counting method too!

HI makes me nauseated.

It feels like I'm running through a grayish purple tunnel.
