OMG, I LOVE the nose one! Ahhh, Always, I'm like :plug: and like I must not be dreaming. |
Checking my digital watch! I've become lucid with it about 25+ times. |
I used to do the clock check, but I would always make up excuses as to why the time kept changing. |
Clocks are my current favorite RC. But my RCs tend to be more dynamic over a long period of time. In a couple of months a different RC will probably work better. |
Would switching the light on be a reality check? I want to try that out tonight but I'm thinking that my mind might just as well make the light go on in my dream like it would normally..lol |

Flying. I can always remember to attempt flying. I've had clocks go crazy on me once and it worked as a RC but I never see that many clocks in dreams |
We who are about to dream, salute you!
RC's haven't worked for me. When I have an LD I just know I am dreaming. |
Well besides the fact that I didn't remember any of my dreams last night, I'm starting to think the "nose" technique doesn't work. |
Why you expect success after... one day??? |

"Biggie Smalls is juicey!" - Alicia Keys
What I do is look at my hands, try to put my finger through my hand, and try to breathe through my nose whiole pinching it. I am not RCing regularly enough yet, though. It also hasn't had enough time to transfer to my dreams, I will have to do more and continue trying. I like these checks because you can do them very subtly, and they are more convenient then looking for a clock or something to read in my opinion. |
Flying!! Of course I'm going to do that one day when I am really awake and boy will I feel stupid! |

you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

But what exactly is the purpose of a reality check? |
I'm just beggining to try to recall and LD. Usually my dreams are rediculous and make no sense what-so-ever, so I just look around and take everything in to make sure the world is working the way it should. I hardly ever dream about clocks or lights or anything normal like that. |

Yeah, I don't try to look at clocks in my dreams for any reason. It just happens. |

If they just keep popping up, then it's more of a dream sign - triggering you to do reality checks or to simply know you're dreaming. |

Ahahah, good point there seeker.. |
What's the nose one? |
Pinch your nose and if you can still breath trough it, then you are dreaming, read the tutorials section, there are also other great techniques there. |
The Nose Pinch worked for me, but I have only had one LD and it happened earlier today. I like the Nose one because your fingers and nose are always accessible. |

All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream. ~Edgar Allen Poe
Dreaming is an act of pure imagination, attesting in all men a creative power, which if it were available in waking, would make every man a Dante or Shakespeare. ~H.F. Hedge
