Quick question- when doing a MILD (paired with WBTB) Do you wait until you've had a non LD, or just when you first fall asleep? |

God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...
The typical time to do MILD is when you are in bed just before you go to sleep. |

LaBerge suggests doing MILD after awakening from a dream and before returning back to sleep for next REM cycle. This works best with WBTB. |

What times do you suggest I wake up? I tend to wake up at 4:00 AM, I seem to have really long and vivid dreams. Since it's the weekend, what time do you suggest I wake up at? |

When you wake up at 4:00 do you stay up or do you go back to sleep? If you go back to sleep, then this is a good time to wake up. If you get up at 4:00 then set your alarm for 2:30. The sleep cycle is roughly 90 minutes and this will give you a place to start. If 2:30 wakes you up in the middle of a dream, set the alarm for a little later. Ideally as part of the MILD technique you want to train yourself to wake up at the end of every dream. |
