      i can't be lucid?

Is it possible that some people can not have a lucid dream? I cannot have one or so it seems, i've desperately wanted to for a number of reasons, mainly to ask some people questions and talk with some people, but everytime i begin to go lucid in a dream, as in saying hey this is a dream and i'm in control, i wake up instantly. I don't know if this is because I mainly have bad dreams so my taking control could prevent that, but everytime i start to become lucid or realize i'm dreaming i instantly wake up and wish i could stay asleep, i'm also a very light sleeper... any ideas?

Not anyone may have a great potential to LD, however, EVERYONE can learn! Now, it seems you are doing quite alright! and its very common to wake up right after you become lucid. It takes training and more experience to be able to maintain and control your LD.
