      Classification of dream signs?

Im trying to decide which dream signs to aim for recognising my question is this, out of all my dream signs strange/unusual/weird stuff happens the most, but it can take many forms/shapes/context none of which are consistent also in my dreams I don’t think think “oh that’s weird/unusual or strange” at the very most I say or think “what’s that?” and watch it for a bit it’s only when I’m awake do I realise it was weird or unusual.

I have other reoccurring dream signs like family that I recognise as family or home town related stuff that I recognise as home town stuff in the dream.

So is weird to vague or is it something i should aim for as a way of building a critical mindset in the dream?

I think the best dream signs are regular things normally, but in the dream, something is off about them. So like, in the dream, I'm in a store and I see a half-full bottle of coke for sale. Or a pizza cutter, but it's bright orange. Or a woman I know, but her hair is now rainbow colored. So, then, in real life, when if I see a normal coke bottle at the store, or a pizza cutter, or the woman that I know, I can do a RC. It will remind you of your dreams. Even better, the synchronicity will seem weird to you, since you saw it recently in a dream. That will definitely build the critical reflective attitude.

Also, always do an RC to anything that seems "off" in the real world. Or spectacular. Like seeing a beautiful rainbow in the sky - always RC to that. You get the idea.

If your reaction to dream signs during dreams is saying or thinking, "what's that?" then set the intention to realize you're dreaming when you say or think, "what's that?" during a dream.

Ugh, Dream logic suck sometimes, doesn't it, Ant?
I think dream signs are really all about differentiating between waking life and your dreamscape. If there is no differentiating factor, it wouldn't be a really good dream sign, would it? (IMO)
When you are choosing your Dream Sign observe what is different about your family or friends in your dream. Do they behave differently or do you? What is your home life like in the dream suppose to what is in your waking life? How do you in the dream do you feel emotionally?
For me, (e.g.) I would notice the Dream character's height change or age difference in a dream.
Lately, it's been the fact of the stay at home order in my waking life.
In my dreams, I'm walking the crowded streets of NY and realizing that I don't have a mask on. Or dancing at a club. Or At a food truck buying something.
Anything that is surreal but, that slight chances that it can be real. We are not there yet in our waking LIFE where we can do those things really. Are food trucks still a thing?
To be honest there no easy answer. It's not always as easy as realizing that you may be dreaming because you went subatomic or floating, right? It could be that moment in the dream were you are face to face with someone you haven't seen since the SuperBowl... I don't know. Like your mom or someone else.
Finding dream signs will take time, This is where the reality check in your waking life might come in handy. Like right now!
Sorry if that is clear as mud?
