Inner Vibration Meditation

Hey!

Not been active for a while. But I thought that I would share a powerful method that I learned that so far have made me dream vividly on a consistent basis and having lucid dreams by just going to bed. I have had 4 lucid dreams in two weeks now, each with a high quality of awareness.

(I am not saying this to brag, it's not even impressive compared to the amount of practise that I have done. It's to explain that I have seen a pattern and that it's worth investigating.)

Let's start with the basics:

Study any religion and any mystical knowledge and you will see that SEXUAL ENERGY has a power that has been overlooked or even forgotten.

People take brain enhancing drugs in order to study, people drink alcohol in order to have fun or let go, people put in effort to meet a partner, people are stressed, people seek happiness in the external world (validation on social media, followers on social media, venting their opinions on social media, social media....) greed of money, jealousy and talking behind people's back etc.

There is one simple thing to solve all of the above and achieve: Internal happiness, focus, effortless success in ANYTHING.

It sounds weird: Let go of the orgasm!

I could argue with the people who don't agree OR I could simply let you guys try it and observe yourself and see what happens. If you aren't open for it, it's your free choice. But just consider for a moment that the major religions of the world had a point that was forgotten and even despised and believe to have been used to sexually shut down people. (Well maybe it has, but the reason from the beginning was the opposite).

To explain it simply: Letting go of the orgasm and then transmuting this energy through meditation is what gives you your ENERGY, also called sexual energy, chi, energy for the chakras and so on. Many names, same energy.

And here comes the "new" method.

Have you ever heard about binaural beats? Using sound to change the frequency that your brain is operating from in order to change the state of your consciosuness. Well as usual nothing is new under the sun. Here is some simple logical conclusions for you:

Everything is energy > Energy is vibration > vibration is sound > controlling sound is controlling vibration/energy!

Did you know that you could use vibration to make things levitate, extinguish fire, make a big bridge wobble and collapse?

And lastly did you know that you could produce a sound that changes your state of consciousness?

It's simple and so basic, so just like the power of sexuality, we have missed it!

It's called a MANTRA!

Now you understand why monks are sitting saying: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

or: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

It becomes an internal vibration, so mantras allows you to create your own powerful sound.

Let me give you a rant for being an outcast believing in strange things one more time:

People can laugh at us for practising lucid dreaming, people can laugh when we respect our sexuality, people can laugh when we are sitting doing nothing (meditating), people can laugh and think it's weird when we sit chanting mantras.

But do you know when I laugh?

When I fly sky high in my lucid dream. :superman:

I sound very bitter in this text but that is just to make a point. In reality sexual energy and meditation will make you non-judgemental and become so carefree that you no longer need a reason to feel happy. You just smile to smile and enjoy expressing that to other people and people stop judging and instead they get curious. :wink:

For a while I thought that sexual energy was important for LDing, and it does seem that on the 6th or 7th day after a man (the study was only performed on men) has abstained from ejaculation, acetylcholine levels spike (which would indicate increased chances of lucidity). However, these acetylcholine levels returned to normal on the following day, whether the man experienced ejaculation or not.

In practice, I have tried what you are describing (abstaining from ejaculation for a period of time--1, 2, 6 months) and have ultimately not seen the correlation between coitus reservatus (or whatever you want to call it) and increased lucidity in dreams. The body ultimately returns to its own level of homeostasis, whether you are letting the kids out or not. And while there are methods of transmuting sex energy, I have never heard of binaural beats or OM being able to do that, and I did a fair amount of research on the topic while it was an area of interest. You may have discovered something new, or time may demonstrate that this method is not as powerful as you think.

My own opinion (based off of my reading and practice) is that basic awareness is most important, followed by appropriate thought patterns (intention, memory, and so forth). I think all of the "methods" people offer (including mantras to alter the body's endocrine systems/chakras, binaural beats, withholding ejaculation in men, reality checks, whatever) all serve as supports for awareness, but not much more than that. The reason is that none of this stuff is permanent, and needs to be kept up on a daily basis. Even simply withholding ejaculation is no permanent method, for the reasons stated above. Eventually, the body's sexual energy goes into dormancy through not being used.

I do think being conservative with ejaculation is a good idea, as it allows one to possibly take advantage of the acetylcholine spike, as well as not exhausting the body's resources, which would not really be helpful to LD. But the amount of sex one can have depends purely on genetics and age. In Tao, they say that for every year a man has been alive, they should abstain from orgasm for that many days. Not sure I am interested in doing that anymore, but it's there for whoever wants to try it. Traditionally, women are seen to be able to orgasm whenever they want, although part of this was based off of the man stealing the woman's life force during intercourse.

The technique that I did find on circulating sex energy came from a book by Ken Wilber, "The Simple Feeling of Being."

Iv been clear for nearly 6 months now and I posted a list of benefits to the "365 Day Challenge-" thread that I have noticed myself gaining. These are atleast the ones that have added to my lucid dream practice.

But like ThreeCat said, sexual energy doesn't add to LDing on it's own ( I used to PMO every day like any other teenager and still had 2-5 LDs a week! ). It's still about how much energy you put into the practice of LDing and how much you want it. I had 2-5 LDs because I practiced, wrote a DJ everyday and really wanted to have lucid dreams. The energy you gain from quitting PMO doesn't make you lucid, but the energy adds really much to your efforts and it's much easier to practice awareness and meditation for an example when you're feeling ten times more focused and clear minded. Ejaculation is also one of the biggest dopamine rushes you can have and one of the main goals of your body ( reproducing ), so your body can have a false feeling of "achievement". " The day is now complete, no need to put effort into anything else" - satisfied body.

Just to clarify, it's not just sexual energy that is required. One also has to manage the energy of the body and mind properly and yes the focus should be on awareness. We have different energies that we need to be in control of, for example emotional energy. If we spend our day being mad or stressed we wont be aware or physical energy, if we train too much, or mental energy if we think too much or feel pride and so on.

I like the title of that book (The Simple Feeling of Being) because that is exactly what I am trying to explain.

Not being something, not trying to be cool, not doing, simply BEING. Like a flower or a tree, but don't try to be like nature, simply realize that you ARE nature.

So just BE.

The point of sexual energy is just that it is something that prevents us from being, because if we chase pleasure, we are craving.

It's the norm in our society to view people as sexual objects, it's so normal in fact that I feel weird for even thinking about these ideas. It kind of makes me sound like a religious fanatic. The difference between a fanatic and me though is that I choose this path not because of a belief, but because of self-observation.

If you do the research about the male orgasm in itself you will see that we lose a lot of stuff that we could use as creative energy for ourself and life.

So to correct myself, it's not just about managing the sexual energy, it's about managing your whole life in order to become conscious.

We're both impulse driven animals and higher conscious beings. ( The norm of seeing people as sexual objects is probably just the norm of modern marketing and advertising only though. ) Stopping here so the thread won't get side tracked. :)

Exactly! We shouldn't deny our impulses, just not be a puppet to them, that is when we stop being human and that it is what makes us lose touch with the reality and what we are doing.

So the very side tracking from the now is the loss of the NOW, because what else is there to be aware of?

It is a completely different feeling when the thoughts and needs are silent.

It feels like you were asleep until you were focused on the NOW again. Just like in a dream we are distracted by meaningsless thoughts, scenarios and needs. It's not until you stop and look around that you realize that it was all a dream. And how many times has not SEXUAL IMPULSE been the reason to why you lost yourself in the dream? Sex for pleasure (lust), or any other need you can think of isn't evil or morally wrong, it's just something that prevents you from being conscious (staying lucid and in control of your own life.)

Mantras is a powerful way to manage different energies in the body, this is why the mantras used by the masters were secret.

So far it still works like a charm. But for those of you who are interested in deepening your awareness daily I strongly recommend:

Eckhart Tolle's books.

The Power of Now was the book that freed me from 20 years of being emprisoned by my thoughts. Now I am just going even deeper.

I agree! I also noticed the benefits Saizophod mentioned, and think anyone who feels up to it might give it a shot, if only for the benefits of increased energy and well-being. And I don't think you sound like a fanatic, Mastermind, (though Saizophod sounded like a scientologist when he said he had been "clear" for six months). Good luck guys!

Very good points you make. We are at different stages of our lifes probably. However I can see the similarities in our recent experience. Things seem to suddenly connect and we form new patterns. Like a break through, you've ascended your previous consciousness.

Now that you mentioned it, I realised that I don't control my sexual energy. It translates into my real life and my dreams, where I leave premature. During my sexual dreams I seem to disconnect during penetration and leave the dream, that's how excited I am. Or... uncontrolled. I don't suffer from premate ejaculation physically in real life, but mentally. I will have to work on this as well rather sooner than later, for my own improvement. To transcend to higher levels of consciousness...

Interesting! From the books I've read and from the experiences I have had there seem to be a strong link between sexual powers and developing consciousness. Also the wise ancient people were often considered "Highly sexual people" not as in bathing in sexual pleasure like the people of night clubs today, but as in having alot of energy within from sexual transmutation.

And just as you describe I have also noticed that my awareness fades when I get sexually excited in a dream, but it's not very difficult to understand if we consider the old dream yoga viewpoint of viewing everyone as asleep and dreaming all the time. Imagine riding your bike in physical life and you are focusing on the the beautiful weather the sounds the wind, but then suddenly you see an attractive woman and you start fantasize about her and have all kind of different thoughts and images in your head. Isn't that the same as losing lucidity? You are suddenly no longer right where you are, you are in trance by a thought. And sure you are still on your bike but you are no longer aware, isn't that very similar to being in a dream asleep, going through actions but no longer aware of what's right in front of you?

So we have interpreted religions the wrong way, it's not that it's morally wrong or that God or the Universe punishes you because of lust, it's just that it blocks the consciousness, the spirit, the real inner self (the true you) from being. Although, we are just the universe having an experience of itself through human life, so we are God, the Universe punishing ourselves because of our unconscious actions. It can't rationally be understood, just like a lucid dream, it has to be experienced through conscious experience.

Live your life as if it was a dream and that's when you can truly wake up. :meditate:
