Can I Lucid Dream in a car?

Obviously, I won't be the one driving the car but say I'm going on a long road trip and I want to try to lucid dream. In my case, my family is leaving for Miami from Georgia and we will leave at around 1-2am, so I can easily fall asleep in the car. If say I wake up after a couple hours, possibly in my REM stage, can I still lucid dream? More specifically, can I do the FILD technique while in sleeping in the car? I've been trying to FILD for around 2 weeks and haven't done so successfully. Can I do this technique while sleeping in the car? I think I've had dreams before while sleeping inside a car or a bus but it's usually at random times.

Sure you can LD! Falling asleep is going to be more difficult, though. Your body may be tired, but the uncomfortable nature of the car can make you distracted enough to keep your mind from being tired. You'll need to find a way to block that distraction.

Because falling asleep will be more difficult, FILD will be more difficult as well. But it can be done!

@ThreeCat Lol sorry I had to say it cuz when I saw someone else post about it (no one clearly answered it; thats why im posting about it here) the only answer he got was him crashing his car while dreaming so yeah I had to emphasize the fact that I won't be the one driving.

I don't know about FILD technique, but I used to have LDs all the time when I would go on long car drives with my family. As long as you can fall asleep, you can always have lucid dreams!

Good luck, let us know how it goes! I haven't tried FILD technique, I will look into it now.
